Nice highlights package. Elliot was great but Rico Lewis is something else. Xavi-esque.
    One tit for another.

      Elliot had about 10 chances.
They were mostly being greedy and shooting for goal rather than play a team mate in.
The second half they started actually passing.
The right winger Madueke looks sharp.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Scored two, hit the cross bar & how many assists was it? Good night out for the young fella & captained the side as well.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I was there. Harvey and Madueke were a class above everyone else on the pitch. Once they started to link up in the first half, England began to properly take charge of the game.

Can see Quansah replacing the Leeds lad at CB alongside Branthwaite fairly soon if he keeps getting games for us.

What position was he playing and in what formation out of interest?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Did Rico Lewis stand out for you? His touches look sensational in the highlights, maybe he's a highlights player?

Quansah should go straight into England's first team, no? He's already better than the likes of Colwill, etc, IMO.

                Big shout that.

Quansah has not put a foot wrong imo for us, but Colwill is also very good for his age and has been a stand out player for the England U21s and has a lot more first team experience than Quansah.

If both keep progressing though, they would make for a really good pairing at the back.

Quansah being naturally a RCB afaik and Colwill a LCB (and LB)

Nominally on the centre-left of a midfield three (lineup had England as a 4-3-3 formation), but he played a free role in midfield. He was picking the ball up all over the pitch, and as I said, once he drifted towards inside-right and started linking up with Madueke England started to look good. Pinged a Trent-esque long diagonal ball from right to left at one point too.

Not really, no. He got done a couple of times defensively and didn't particularly stand out to me otherwise, though he did end up with a couple of assists.

The only one I'd be interested in signing for us would be Madueke. Shame he went to Chelsea.

Thanks, I think Elliott is or has the potential to be a good player, but I just don't see what his role in the side would be at the moment. He has had some good cameo appearances this season, but has had much less of an impact when he has started games recently

Qhansah was a stand out for the U19's and has played more games for England Under's than Colwill.

QUansah has done wll sa a youth, But his rise has been pretty phenolmenal to say he didn;t stand out at Bristol Rovers. Colwill seems to be a player that people have talked about for a few seasons now.

Because he has done well in the Championship and again last season in the Premier League for Brighton.

I am not knocking Quansah in the slightest and hope what we have seen of him is just a taster of how good he may go on to become, but Colwill is that little bit more proven given he has already stood out at both Championship and PL level before this season and is the same age as Quansah.

Just a bit easier to judge Colwill at present given this is the third season that he has been getting first team games.

Hopefully come the end of this season Quansah will have shown himself to be at the same level in terms of both quality and consistency of play that Colwill has shown.

Both very different types of CB too which bodes well for England in years to come.

Quansah looks like he might grow into being a Sami Hyypia type CB in terms of how he plays, the rock at the back if you will, whereas Colwill looks a lot quicker and the type that will carry the ball up field as well as looking like he could play as the LCB in a two CB partnership, a three CB back line or as the LB or LWB in a back four or back five.

Is a pity that Colwill signed a new long term deal with Chelsea as would have liked to have seen us bring in him.

Like the look of Guehi too.

Yeah - there’s a touch of Coutinho about him at the moment - looks really good in roles that don’t exist in our preferred formation. Clearly talented though so hopefully he’ll settle into one of them soon.

It may also indicate a lack of fluidity in our system/formation
