If we'd have drawn against City last season we'd have won the league so **** it, good performance - shame to lose on pens but hey ho.

First match thread against Norwich coming this week

IMO every one still looked leggy, poss pre season hangover as Klopp does run them hard in the first few weeks. Mane still to come back is a god send, but, from the first half, that misfiled was ****e, plus Derek aint no Mane....
I make no apologies, this is me

Just watched MotD - didn’t see the full game. Honest opinion - how did Origi play? The highlights didn’t show him involved much. Am debating putting him into my FF this weekend

He was quiet to begin with, but finished first half quite well. Was very positive and direct on the ball. Didn't have many opportunities in the box though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thanks - I reckon he’ll start on Friday and we should win so I’ll pick him on that basis. I do think he’s not good enough to be the first choice back up to the front 3 though.

There are not a lot of players who would be good enough to be first choice backups to Mane, Salah and Bobby.
                          Are we winning?

True .................but there are probably some better than Origi who could do the job

Going to take a punt that Origi will be sold to the likes of Norwich for £20m next summer.

Origi was excellent in Klopp's first year before the Everton injury. When given the chance the next year, he was also very good, scoring 5 games in a row about December time when Mane or Coutinho were injured. Last year he did exactly what was asked from him, and then some.

He has rarely let us down and made some vital contributions, so at the very least he deserves the opportunity to prove he's good enough to be a first team regular, before being written off because he's not a fancy new signing.
