He has rarely let us down and made some vital contributions, so at the very least he deserves the opportunity to prove he's good enough to be a first team regular, before being written off because he's not a fancy new signing.
I agree with all of that but I just don't think he is good enough - nothing against him because he seems like a great lad. I hope he gets his shot and plays a bunch of games and scores plenty, I just don't see if happening.

I hope I'm wrong and we get pre Everton injury Divock

Origi doesn’t really work anywhere in a 4-3-3. Would work up top in a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. Sticking on the right and asking him to beat a man is a waste of time.

I agree that he doesn't work anywhere in a 433. He just doesn't affect the game enough. He's an OK striker and that might just be enough for us off the bench. As a starter though he not at a good enough level.

I think the contract renewal was a financial decision but he'll have a season with enough chances to prove us wrong.

Scoring the occasional goal (a couple of important ones, granted) has gotten him a contract, but his ability to have a regular influence in a game is minimal.
Many average players out there can do the odd tap ins.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We really struggled in all those games he started last year. It was like playing with 10 men.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
