I've been astonished by how good he has been.

When he trotted on at half time v Norwich I doubt anyone thought we would go the next 5 games unbeaten. He'd barely been at the club minutes and he was being asked to replace the best keeper on the planet. He hasn't once looked overawed.

He actually deserves more clean sheets than he has had, because he has made a big save in almost every game I have seen him in. He must have feared his career at the top level was finished, so he is putting everything into performing as best he can whilst he has the chance.

I don't care about clean sheets, I care about critical saves where he actually had a chance to save - which he is ahead of by a good margin - 80% saves to shots ratio!

In pretty much every match he's made at least one critical save where he had an opportunity to (and some where he had no right like at Napoli).

That is the mark of a great keeper and I think he is currently great.

Indeed! He's no upgrade on Mignolet - just comes in with a fresh start rather than all of Mig's baggage. Dodgy mistakes in every game and poor goals conceded. He's certainly not presenting any risk to Alisson's starting spot.

No upgrade on Migs ... is this still your opinion of him, remembering Migs has the one of the lowest shots on shots save in the LG when he was playing and this fella is pulling worldies in every other game now ??

Do we know that they didn’t? I’d say his Liverpool move was in place all the while, just had to move Mignolet on before it went through.

I think people are also forgetting how terrible Mignolet is with the ball. I don't expect goalkeepers to be outstanding ball players, but as a footballer he's shocking. I swear random amateur footballers have better technique than him. How many times under no pressure at all did he receive a ball and proceed to boot it into the stands when trying to pick out a teammate. Awful. It's actually embarrassing.

His all around goalkeeping was never excellent, I'd say he's average at best. I'm not saying Adrian is a world beater, but he's competent with the ball at his feet and a decent keeper overall. Much better than Mignolet.

One thing I've noticed is if Adrian is in even 10% doubt then he kicks it long. He got caught earlier in the season and it seems clear we're not trying to convert him into Alisson-lite. Which is working very well. No heart attacks and his confidence is sky high.

It makes me think that we didnt even scout Mig properly. His distribution was awful. Counter to Brendans style of play. I noticed that in his first game for us.

We had about ten different people scouting and assessing new signing but none of them were speaking to each other.
