What's this unfair picking on Lovren? The goal was not his fault, he was brave enough to put his head in front of a power shot. Then he put his head in again in a much lower and more prone to a kick position where if he didn't Spurs may have had a clean shot at goal. No mess ups today from him. Got a little bullied in a one on one with Kane but learnt his lesson quickly.

VvD and Wijnaldum need to be putting free headers away and not straight into the keeper's hands. Two very disappointing moments for me.
    One tit for another.

watching the highlights and if any of the front three had brought their shooting boots we could easily of had 3 or 4 - possibly more!!

I thought it interesting how Liverpool dealt with Kane bullying Lovren. They sat Fabinho in front of Kane off any kicks by their keeper. This means any ball up to Kane has to be near perfect and it gives him less chance of making something out of a long ball

Old old tactic that straight out of how we use to deal with Graeme Sharpe in the 80s

Tylers bias is shocking. Its actually worse than Nevilles who can actually appreciate some football play even from an arch-enemy

You know Sky do it on purpose. The more boring a commentary is the more people wont watch games with the specific team its always linked to. And with Tyler snoozing through our matches every time it makes others want to tune out because it seems that we're boring to watch. Thankfully the optus sport commentary team are lively so I dont need to suffer that cunt.

Years ago when (the BBC and) ITV had the rights to live top division football I don't recall Tyler being such an anti Liverpool ****.

Then again maybe Brian Moore used to do the games we featured in.

On Lovern vs Matip, Matip is willing to move forward and commit, where as Lovern won't and as much as VVD is a Rolls Royce he doesn't do it enough either.
I make no apologies, this is me

Thats one point, the biggest black mark against Lovren is when hes dragged out of the width of the penalty box. He doesnt even do the basics often when that happens

Both Matip and VVD are far better when forced to play in those areas

Hes also easily bullied in the air

Good point about position, though you could say the same about Gomez recently. I suppose Gomez pace and ability to recover is a huge asset for him but he has lost the calmness and authority he showed st the beginning of last season.

He was really bad at the game I was at v Salzburg.

Only a run of games returns that belief I suppose.

Pace is a get out of jail card when caught outside the width of the penalty box (or anywhere else if you **** up) but plenty of players without pace can do the fundamentals when they have to step into those areas

Its been a consistent problem for Lovren though as generally his decision making is shocking when he goes out there

I think Klopp knows who the whipping boys are and how this can affect morale.

Look at Lovren post hug. Chest out, chin up
