    This is it!

This is the big one. The decider. The marker of the season.

This is the game that dictates whether we're genuine title challengers, the mentality monsters that devour any situation, any pressure, any scoreline with the aim of putting another three points between us and the current league champions.

We're ready. It's due. This. Is. It.

I would start AOC with Fab and Gini, but I think Henderson will start.

I’d walk away with a point right now.

A win would be insane though. They have Chelsea the following week. If we can get 4-6 points from the next 2 games then we have put ourselves in an incredible position.
      Modifying post.

I'd take a point all day long, but still keep thinking we're due a game where we just 'click' and it all falls into place. Not had one of those in a long while... That, plus the fact Salah is back to looking sharp but just not really found his shooting boots... could it all come together on Sunday and we roll them over with a high press, high energy, take the lead early and then capitalise on them having to come at us...

              Maybe. Just maybe....

We're probably also due a game when our luck runs out.

I very much hope it's not on Sunday.
                Oh I don't know.

I think whoever scores first on Sunday will be in a brilliant position. I just hope that it doesn't take us a half an hour to get going. If we hit the ground running with the power of Anfield behind us, then we could make a huge statement. If Liverpool score first, then with our disciplined midfield and quick transition, I think we could hit them on the counter attack and f##k them right up.

I actually think that Pep would take a draw right now. He will bank on the fact that our trip to Qatar and fixture pile up will mean that his squad can catch us on the final straight.

I also think that Klopp would be okay with a draw. He will think "6 point lead and look at our league fixtures for the next 5 or 6 weeks"

I reckon we will see our usual midfield for this one. They will have to work really hard and not give KDB any time at all on the ball, could see Ox coming on in the second half when it opens up a bit more.

We really need the win IMO, they will see the games against us a key to turn this around, if they get four points from our games they will be hopeful for their easy run in.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think a draw wouldn’t be a bad result, but... I feel like everything is in our favor this year- we played at home on Tuesday, they play away on Wednesday, they have a lot of injury concerns, and their position in the table, puts all the pressure to win on them. The fact it’s a must win for them, combined with their defense being ****e could mean we smash them..

Going into the game they’ll likely be in 4th place- with us having already beat the teams in 2nd and 3rd... we should be confident!

Also a shout out to Leicester- they’re 2 points behind city after already playing Liverpool, chelsea and United all away!
                      I don't tip

                          Wildly optimistic this

They were incredible against us this time last year, I expect them to be at that level again. Absolutely no chance of us "smashing" them to be honest.

I think it'll be incredibly close, my main worry is a bad refereeing decision or VAR ****ing us over. Aside from that whoever is most clinical will take it.

                          ****ting myself already

Agreed they were incredible last year against us- but was under different circumstances. It was 4 days after our tough away game to Napoli, and the week before we had a tough away game to Chelsea.. I expect us to have a bit more in the tank this year.

And I don’t think they will be at the same level this year- attacking yes, they are still very very dangerous. But their defense has been average this year. And given the circumstances, they will have to go for it, hopefully leaving their weak defense exposed.

I probably am being over optimistic, but I think we couldn’t ask for better circumstances to play them. Not only are they 6 points behind, but the only tough game they’ve had on paper was spurs at home, which they drew. We already played spurs, arsenal, chelsea, United and Leicester... and are 6 points ahead!! All I’m saying is we should be confident in our team (I’m still gonna be nervous as hell on Sunday).

It's not negative, obviously everyone wants to win and the way our gameplan is implemented I believe we set up to try to win every game. We do however need to treat these fixtures against City like a cup tie. Wins are great, but we can't afford to lose and if we do, we need need to return the favour in the corresponding fixture.
