    This is it!

We seem to be conserving energy in everything we do and I suspect this has led to so many one goal wins when in reality, we have what it takes to win by three or four.

Brighton are a much improved side, I like their manager, a good style of play, not too elaborate.

You might call him "No nonsense Potter".

We badly need an easy win. All of these tight games take it out of you eventually (players and fans ).

    Fingers crossed it's this one.

Midfield has always been where we rotate anyway, as its mostly bypassed. Fab is obviously world class but we should be OK there. Its Salah that needs to turn up.

As Brighton will be following the other minnow's (Utd) blueprint and shutting down our dangerous wings this should leave space for Ox's longshots.
      One tit for another.

I agree we need a bit more from Salah but he also needs support down his side or else we are expecting him to conjure something from nothing. Last night being a perfect example where Gomez offers nothing going forward so the quality of ball he gets is poor, the midfield having no creativity so Bobby dropping too deep meaning Salah and Mane are isolated.

I think we are purposely ‘managing’ games so as not to expend too much energy and while we have been winning we are not making it easy for ourselves. These tight wins are an absolute killer for fans - a comfortable 3 nil win would be brilliant

Wouldn't be surprised to see a change of shape to 4-2-3-1 for this. Fairly sure we switched to it last night (?), to me it looked like Salah was through the middle with Mane-Bobby-Ox behind him
Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

Yep. Ox signalled that exact formation when he came on.

Fab is obviously out, injury (and suspension?)
I really hope VVD has no reaction to his slight injury, but if ever there was going to be a game when he might be rested it could be this one?

Salah needs to get his mojo back, and firmino also needs to chuck a few flying kung fu kicks in.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

                We can't take any chances.

                Alisson
                TAA - Lovren - VVD - Robbo
                Gini - Hendo - OX/Keita
                Salah - Bobby - Mane
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Honestly, with Keita and Shaqiri on the bench, would it be too much to have Curtis Jones there instead of Lallana? I know we can't underestimate Brighton ever, and especially not now with Fabinho out and the fact that we don't perform very convincingly atm, but you'd think this game would be a good opportunity for someone like him? Seems to be killing it in the youth games, and he played really well in the cup both times.

                      Oh I don't know.

It's not a comment on the game but I don't think Ox is up to speed yet. He may be amazing in training but the PL intensity is another thing.

His fitness must be getting better though, so that's something.

He said the same himself recently.

Let's be honest, you need to be super fit to play in this team.

No idea how that wasn't a yellow for the foul on Mane

                              Great ball by VVD
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
