The mentality that if we get knocked out, we can concentrate on the league is ridiculous... maybe last year that would make some sense. But now we’re 8 points clear of Leicester and 14 clear of City! We need to be more ambitious

Agreed that the league is the priority, but if we win today, and get a handy game next round, we might have the league more or less won by time we play anyone decent in the quarters. Imagine being able to rest players before CL games, we’d be unstoppable.

Even under Rafa, we were always punching in Europe- reaching the latter stages but not really one of the best teams in Europe, but now we are in top 2/3 hands down and arguably the best team in Europe- we had 4 players in the top 7 in ballon dor ffs. It would be such a shame if we don’t get out of the group, when we have a team so capable of winning the thing.
    I don't tip

If we get through tonight, we'll take a massive step to winning number 7 and will surely be clear favourites.

We are pretty unstoppable in the knockouts in Europe under Klopp and this team / squad is better than previous years.

I reckon we'll batter them 5-2 or 4-1 or similar.

        Interesting this...
With us having thrashed barca at Fortress Anfield it will mean teams must try and press any home advantage so will hopefully be more vulnerable to our counter attacking game.
Less of a high line when away, but quick turn over and the long ball hoof, and press them hard in the last 15 minutes when they are tiring.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yep, it really is an ideal scenario in games like tonight and the knockouts when everything is at stake. Teams will have to come at us at on their own patch and we have several ways now to beat anyone, be it a quick counter, a long pass, set-pieces, long range shooting or unlocking a deep block through quick passing, using the width or moments of genius from our flair players.

It's like Klopp doesn't ever rest on his laurels and keeps conjuring up new ways or weapons to use to beat any type of opposition.

That's why we should steamroll our way to the title first of all and then get through tonight and we'll be more formidable than ever in the latter stages especially with Fortress Anfield.

Keita starts, knew he would. I have a feeling the whole backroom staff keep waiting for him to 'start'. His ball retention should sufficiently starve their tap in genius.
                        One tit for another.
