Liverpool vs Watford - Premier League (19/20 - Game 17)
Seen a couple players criticised after yesterday's game. TBH, I don't think anyone played particularly well - the weather (wind), midday kick off, flat atmosphere at Anfield, very busy schedule... all contributing factors. However, we won. So, a bit unfair to criticise any individual player?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

One thing that was very noticeable first half was how much we compressed the play
There was a period of about 10 minutes when we had our forward line camped on the edge of their box and our two central defenders were in Watfords half at the edge of the centre circle. There was probably only 15-20 separating the defence and frontline
That is so hard to do
The great teams of the 70s use to try and squeeze the play a lot but I am not sure they condensed it as much as we did on Saturday
The best team I have ever seen squeeze the play like this was Everton 84-86 but I think we shortened it more than even they use to
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
