I know this is very basic and obvious but it's crazy that in 5 years time he'll still only be 21. Seeing him so comfortable against seasoned pros, and so superior in fact, it's hard to see how he won't he a first team regular by then.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I actually don’t think wide forward will be his role, I think he played as a 10 in the Fulham underage set up and saw him compared to David Silva when we signed him. He works hard as well and seems to have a good attitude on the pitch. We need to manage him properly with potential signings and not block his progress.

He looks more talented than Sterling at a similar age

Yeah, you watch him and totally forget he's only 16. Outstanding talent, and what a manager we have to get the absolute most out of it.

I'd expect him to see some first team action next season.

Klopp is setting us up for a generation of success.

The next 15 to 20 years are being built right now.

Klopp is our generations Shankly, hopefully Gerrard can be our Paisley!

            Very good observation re: Sterling

I saw the first 50 mins then had to go to work but I was very impressed with our attitude in taking the game to Villa & there’s no doubt the scoreline flattered Villa. We were pretty ropey at the back but it’s to be expected due to the abyss in experience between the two squads. If we’d have managed an early goal it would have been fitting but being undone by a few ropey moments was unfair hey.

How amazing of a talent is Harvey Elliot though. He looks ready for the Prem already but obviously we’ll manage him well.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I’m not sure if I imagined this but I thought Elliot looked Messsiesque in the way he ran with the ball.

The ball looks like it’s glued to his feet at times hey. He’s got no fear at all & is prepared to back himself completely. That spooned ball over the top to Kane I think it was was top drawer. A better striker scores that for sure & the media are creaming themselves over his talent.

He looks the type that would totally excel playing with a better class player. He's so far ahead of the others at his age it's not funny. Put him in with the first team and he'd be making those same plays and getting rewarded as those chance wouldn't be wasted. You can just see him dinking those little chips over the top for Mane and Mo to run onto rather than another kid that will likely miss it half the time

Elliot did look streets ahead over the other lads, looks a real talent. Insane that he is only 16. Hopefully he can keep grounded and keep improving, could be a special player.

Van der Berg and Elliot will join the squad in Doha today.
                        Are we winning?

Late to the party, but I thought they did well considering the two two freak goals they conceded at the start, Kelleher might have done better maybe. But, no surprises other than our lads were better than I thought, Elliot and Hoever are exciting.

We took absolutely the right option.

                          Hutton said this yesterday:
Meanwhile, former Villa defender Alan Hutton felt mixing the Carabao Cup and Club World Cup squads would perhaps have been a better option.

"I was more of the opinion that they [Liverpool] should have split the squad to make it more even," he said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

"Winning a trophy is massive for going forward as a team. I was lucky enough to win it in 2008 with Tottenham.

"I just thought they could have made the teams a little stronger to compete on both fronts."

What a plonker, winning a trophy? We are the reigning European Champions and 10 point clear in the league, we really don't need a confidence booster right now.

Looking at those clips, he reminded me of Coutinho.

                            Let's hope he stays grounded.

It's conceivable he'll still be playing football when I'm into my 60s. :gulp:
                            Oh I don't know.

Also we are going to try to win the club world cup trophy, is he suggesting strengthening the squad for the league cup and weakening the squad for the club world cup where we have a semi final and potentially a final in the next few days for the chance of a semi final in a month and potentially a final in a couple of months.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
