Yeah, I was thinking that as well, he's awesome, so important to the team, he can play almost any position too, fast becoming one of my favorites.

That was the most dominant and impressive performance I have seen from this team and it definitely reminded me of the Forest 87/88 game.

Does that game hurt City going into the match with Leicester??? You'd have to think that after they beat Leicester they got some confidence. But that was at home. We just went to the King Power and ****in dismantled them.

                  Come on Wolves tonight

Hopefully Wolves can do a job on them again today.

                      NOBODY mentioned that!

The flight of the ball did not deviate at all from the corner being taken. Defender would have seen the flight of the ball, yes it was close to being flicked on, yes it came over bodies, but the flight of the ball didn't deviate.

Was easier for it not to hit his arm

Ridiculous discussion. The ball travelled half the width of the pitch at he hit it with his arm whilst moving into the path of it. There is literally no way that any rational person could deny it was a penalty.

Then, having decided to talk absolute bollocks about the penalty extensively, Dixon says "the worst thing about VAR is that we're talking about after a game like that'

Lee Dixon embarrassed himself last night with his drivel about the handball.

You've no idea what his targets are.

Every manager talks down expectations in public. Including Klopp, who did so again tonight.
You're right, we have no idea what his targets are (glad you're finally recognising this )

But let's compare what the two managers said (not exact quotes)

Klopp: We have a really tough run of fixtures coming up (lists them and the reasons why). Nothing is decided. We're focused on one game at a time.

Standard, but delivered with charisma. Not a word about finishing second or any other position.

Rodgers: We're aiming for top 6.
                            Interviewer: You mean top 4?
Rodgers: No, top 6. Top 4 is part of top 6.

He has a top 3 team by a margin. By all means keep the focus on getting back to winning ways, but to reset expectations so low by actually quantifying it like that was just bizarre. He sounded defeated, or like he didn't think his team deserved to be where they are (and that is actually how they played).

Imagine if Hodgson had said similar? Everyone would be all over it.

So to compare Rodgers and Klopp last night, the equivalent from Klopp would have been "You know, this is really hard. If we're in the Champions League next year, then I'll be happy."
                            Oh I don't know.

                              A dominant, complete performance.

It's like every player did what you wanted them to do in terms of pressing, movement, winning the ball, attacking patterns of play. Joyous, imperious, ejaculatory.
