Id quite like to see Elliot play (with better players around him).

yeah - strong bench to avoid a draw. Expect to see Adrian coming up for a corner in the last minute and scoring!

I think the bench will be very strong if the starting line-up is weak

    Maybe this

    Adrian
    Hoever Gomez Phillips Milner (c)
    Lallana Chirivella Jones
    Minamino Origi Elliot

Brewster should be on the bench & not starting imo.

I can see us lining up like this tomorrow:

    Adrian
    Williams Gomez Phillips Milner (c)
    Lallana Chirivella Jones
    Minamino Brewster Origi

Subs: Kelleher, Elliott, Wijnaldum, Hoever, Larouci, Van den Berg, Lewis.

Anyone who started the last 3 wont be starting this, maybe Gomez aside given he done **** all til December. Not worth the risk of losing anyone.

I'd play Alisson but Klopp wont. Adrian and Kelleher have both had a fair go this year so why weaken ourselves unnecessarily.

Having thought about it again maybe we start Brewster if he's fit in a front three of Origi, Brewster and Minamino. Chances are he comes off after about an hour and at that point you evaluate the state of the game and determine whether you replace him with a Mane or Salah for the last 30 if we need goals or replace him with Elliott if we are in a decent position.

I know some people want us to put out a league cup side, but I'd be amazed if at least 2 or 3 genuine regulars don't start and more than 3 or 4 youngsters do, with the rest being squad players like Adrian, Origi, Lallana, Milner etc.

I think we'll make 8 to 10 changes. Front three won't start, Henderson and Wijnaldum won't either. Some of them won't even feature at all and have a rest. Think Virgil will get a rest. I have a feeling Phillips and Hoever will be our centre half pairing. Thinking of this, Klopp might even rest all of them and we make 11 changes. Chirivella I think will play.

Looking at the squad assuming a desire to rest players but without going too weak I would go with something like:

    Adrian
    Hoever
    Gomez/VVD
    Phillips/Van den Berg
    Milner

    Lallana
    Henderson/Wijnaldum
    Jones

    Elliott
    Origi
    Minamino

Rest Alisson and give Adrian a run out. Rest TAA and Robertson and play Hoever and Milner. I think we would like to rest both VVD and Gomez, but with injuries to Lovren and Matip the options are either playing two kids which I doubt we'll do or just resting one of them and play one of the kids alongside them. VVD has played most games so is arguably most in need of a rest but Gomez is not long back from injury so we way want to rest him, not sure who will play but I suspect one will.

Lallana is more or less nailed on to start as the only senior midfielder not regularly in the starting lineup who is fit. Jones has earned a chance IMO with some good performances in the league cup. Due to injuries one of the players we'd probably like to rest in Henderson and Wijnaldum will probably have to start, again to sure who.

Rest all the front three, Origi comes in who has a decent record in the past against Everton, Minamino gets a start. I would give Elliott who has also done well in the league cup a start, but I suspect Mane or Salah will start in place of him. I heard Brewster could be involved, but probably isn't fit to play much

That gives us a decent side with a mix of youth and experience, and allows us to rest at least 6 key players. Presumably they will be on the bench but still.

Yeah, don't think we'll put out a team like the Caribou cup one
