We haven’t even bothered putting the big guns on the bench. It feels like Jurgen is as good as throwing the game. I’d be fine if it wasn’t for this being Everton.

This feels like the Villa game - we’re likely going to get spanked, at Anfield no less. Which will also mean we’ll never hear the end of it.

A replay is the worst possible result today.

It would likely take place between Spurs and Utd games.
And then 4th round would between Wolves and West Ham at the end of January.

Will be sickening to lose to the bitters, i know the bigger picture etc but they will bleat on about it like forever.

Everton counting on this.....not for the Cup, but for possibly their biggest selling DVD of the year.

I’m fine with it. We shouldn’t be running our players into the ground because we drew Everton.

And Ox. Though I wonder if that’s for appearances rather than any real possibility of him coming on.

Me too. If they manage to win their false bragging rights will be hilarious

This is gonna happen anyway, not too sure it's a big problem if we end up winning the league and the CL.

If we risk injuries in what is going to be an intense and full blooded game, then this could be detrimental to our whole season.

It's all about looking at the bigger picture and I'm OK with that.
                      Are we winning?

Not sure about Chirivella. Hope he proves me wrong today but he’s the one player that stands out for me as average, harking back to the days when we had fillers in the team.

It’s the midfield. It’s far too lightweight to be effective in a derby. We just needed a couple more first teamers in there.

The thought of having my first day back at work the day after getting spanked by Everton at Anfield, doesn’t really fill me with joy.

We might get something from the game... but it’s hugely unlikely.

The thing is, it's all down to the FA and the other stakeholders to sort out the fixture congestion and the number of games played during Christmas and New Year. A replay is ****ing ridiculous in this day and age and having squad of 30 players doesn't make any sense and is unworkable. I'm fine with us prioritising and thinking about the players first.

I think there is a better balance to be had here, as opposed to as good as throwing the game to make a point.
