I think that VVD is our most important player, because of how he changed the way we played and pushed us up another level. The way that we defend now with him in the side allows everyone else to push higher up the field and have the impacts that they do on the game.

I wonder if we would have different opinions if we had bought players in a different order, would say bringing in Salah or Mane after VVD have made one of them our most important player. Also you could look at best player in a number of other ways such as best technically or most skillful, but I think we have all more or less taken the same view.
