Was a decent start to the game until Adrian threw one in. We had a few chances, but when none of them went in I feared the worst.

We miss Hendo big time. He seems to be the single vital cog in the entire machine.

Also, imagine having the likes of Sancho or Werner (or both) putting pressure on the front three. Origi just not quite the level we are looking for.

Still. We had zero interest in winning this as our lineup in the last round proved. Would probably have been easier to swallow to go out then.

    Onwards and upwards.
    Big time miss Henderson.

It's like the break has ****ed up our rhythm.

I know it's the in thing to have a goalie getting minutes via the cup but if alisson plays tonight then I think we are still watching extra time.

Lallana.... I think that could be it for him. Why play him once the league is finished???

Atletico match is going to be huge

We could definitely do with a goal scorer midfielder. That position is very much up for grabs.

Is this where we all now expect Bournemouth to play the game of their lives, fighting to stay up and beat us at the weekend as well? Personally I’m going 5-0 to us! :-)

We def need more goals from midfield though and we lack someone to run past players - pre injury Ox and Bundesliga Naby should be worthy candidates for that

We just look blunt now and the team needs to up the tempo or else we’ll finish the season with a whimper which will be such an anti climax given a,l the good we had done so far

There's a reason for that. If you have Mane, Salah and Firmino you do not fecking go full out against us in the press. But if the manager for some brain fart reason puts Origi on the left (not the middle), moves Mane out of position (and not the middle) and puts a midfielder as the number 9 then no point in even playing any defenders. Press, press, press us for fun, we ain't causing problems up the other end.

The result went pretty much as the line up suggested it should go. Chelsea were not good, but our lineup before kickoff made it a non-contest. Chelsea 100% to lose the next league game against any proper PL line up on the weekend.

Thats what everyone seems to tell me when i mention our midfield being piss weak and too easy to play through.

TBF, only one of the main 3 played and he’s clearly not fit
