Pretty rubbish but to be expected really, feels like it's pre season only we have to take it serious as points are attached to it.

Left side was poor, there was a lot of play down that side but it was all rather forced whether it was Milner or Gomez at LB the play wasn't cohesive, we really missed Robertson. IMO we need to get another LB option in the summer.

What's that, another four draws away from the title?

We need to **** this playing players out of position experiment off. I understand not risking players but there are other solutions.

Putting the 3 month break aside (same for both sides) this is pretty much how we play away from home in 2020, it's ****ing painful. The drop off if we are missing robertson, salah and the keeper is massive. We look agricultural with little finesse. If we stick one in, its forgotten, obviously. Oh well, beat Palace and its 2 points.

I'd agree, I think we have good players in the squad but when they come they aren't exactly like for like stylistically.

Same can be said for Shaqiri/Minamino/Ox/Origi. When we start with any of them out wide out system doesn't look nearly as effective despite them all being good players.

Poor game tonight though, severe lack of quality and we've looked much rustier than both City and Chelsea. Hopefully we can pick up 3 points on Wednesday but Palace will be a tough game, they're perfectly set up to cause issues for teams slow in the final 3rd.

Only if it’s now 1.25 points for a draw

Edit: oh yeah, draw against City means we need 2 fewer points

4 points from out next 2 games is enough though

I thought Minamino was going to be able to cover for Mane or Salah, but he is IMO more suited to being a Firmino back up. Origi has played out wide as cover for them but again he is more suited to playing through the middle, the same will apply to Brewster.

1 point closer, frustrated at result, but max 5 to go.

Apparently that's 4 away games in a row we haven't scored in. 2 league games, fa Cup and CL.

I think that not having a crowd in is going to affect us more than most as we tend to play at high tempo, the lack of a crowd takes away from that in all of these games, so we lose some of the urgency that out game is built on. It's harder to drag players out of position when the game is played at a slower tempo.
