Kostas Tsimikas

My opinion here appears to be invalidated.
For balance, I think Robbo needs to push on a bit this season add in a few more goals and his assists have dried up a bit (though surely teams set up to stop him and Trent now).
I think Kostas has been brilliant also…! But he also has things he can improve on also, such as positioning. Great to have that competition, where hopefully they drive each other on.
For both last night not having Mane ahead of them changed the dynamic of the position.Modifying post.

It’s amazing that we have built this squad depth without really signing anyone.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostSo lovely to have two genuinely excellent left back options. If the scouting team can unearth the right sided version of Kostas from somewhere, that’d be delightful.
That's what great about Tsimikas being given a proper chance and delivering so we now have 2 quality options and don't risk running Robertson into the ground by playing every single game like he had the past 2 seasons and similar to what was happening to Van Dijk prior to the injury when his form was beginning to suffer due to burnout.

I think both Robbo and Trent’s assists numbers were hit last season by each of the front 3 all hitting their coldest streaks in front of goal in their time at the club.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

Was more of a case of a drop off in converting chances than the fullbacks being prevented from creating. Without that, each of them could very well have still hit their usual double figures for assists.
In other words, stop being so hard on Robbo. Why are you always bashing him, jeez..

Presuming he doesn’t score before we play Norwich at Anfield and the possibility remains alive, you have some time to write the rest of that song.

Same with VVD. For the first season since we signed him we don’t have to rely on him in every game. What a great place to be squad wise. Big Nat isn’t even in the reckoning for the League Cup, that’s where we are with it. Giving everyone game time and them doing well is brilliant.Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View Post
