Wasn't there a goal scored against us, possibly by Spurs, when Lovren got a touch but was deemed to have made a move towards the ball

I'm probably completely wrong of course
Yeah, it was in another game against us that I first recall this happening and it was involving Lovren (couldn't tell you the opposition tho)...but in regards to your first comment, if you get a glancing defensive header, you've made an effort to get in the way but offside still seems to be given...it seems inconsistent.

      Laca wasn't offside though.

In general though my understanding is that if it's a slight deflection and the ball still reaches where it was intended then it would be offside, but if it's an attempted clearance or major deflection, then it's considered that the defender played the ball. So in FF terms, if the attacker would have got an assist, it would have been offside, if the defender got enough of a touch to take the assist away then no offside.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I thought he was, he was definitely ahead of the defenders but maybe he was still behind the ball, they didn't really focus on it so I'm just going on first glances.
