I don’t think yesterday will have gone unnoticed with Klopp etc, I’d imagine at the very least we will be trying to get someone. A keeper who let in seven will be shot to bits confidence wise.

I think big Ady is an old school keeper. Occasionally good reflex shot stopper. But everything else, confidence, ball at feet, command of area he is the emperors new clothes.

It has always seemed that there was nobody more surprised than him when we swooped in for him last summer. He’s a glorified Andy Lonergan.

Rushing to bring someone in on deadline day just isn't how the club does things these days. We're not going to throw a new keeper straight into the first team whatever happens, so even as an emergency to cover Ali's injury, it won't help.

I’m not saying we definitely will. But yesterday had to be a wake up call. And, if we can find the right keeper - It might help.

Such an unexpected problem to have. Needing a capable back up keeper.
