      I said before the match that Adrian concerns me, that he's got a couple of mistakes a game in him, and that with him in goal rather than Alisson I always feel that we need an extra goal.

      As much as his confidence was shot by conceding 7, IIRC only the first one (which was an horrendous error admittedly) was his fault, he couldn't have done anything about the others, he had a couple of other dodgy moments (the shot that hit the bar I have no idea what he was doing there ).

      But all that said I think that there were others who were as much if not more culpable for the result yesterday, I feel that the blame that he is getting is a bit OTT.
      The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

          You may be right, I can't remember that to be honest. And I certainly am not putting myself through the 'highlights' to find out

          I think that the main point still remains - if we had defended semi competently even with Adrian's performance it would have been a very different game, maybe we would have got something out of it, maybe we would still have lost I don't know, but it would have been nowhere near 7-2

              The general consensus when he came in for those 10 / 11 games last season was that he was ok. Can only imagine it's because we kept on winning.

                Adrian isn't good enough, I think pretty much everyone can see that however yesterday wasn't all about him our defence and midfield were all over the place, possibly the worst display I've seen from us in terms of shape and organisation.

                I'm hoping that we learn from that yesteday and ensure that never happens again.
