Add Thiago to the genius. This is why I'm sort of still very excited for the season. When really I should be lamenting our luck. If we don't get any more serious injuries from here on we're still favourites for most things. How crazy is that after losing our world class CB pairing!?

I loved winning the league but it was a damp squib. The excitement of winning a final is better when everything is as ****ed up as this

I'm convinced if Ali was fit for the Atletico madrid game last season, we would have went on and won it.......but our start to this season might have suffered.

I think we can challenge for both....but the league is actually more likely. To win the CL, you need to beat some good teams. Which becomes difficult when your first choice defensive pairing are out.

We would need a bit of luck to have a chance at the champions league- lose one game and you’re out, and with a makeshift defense, that is likely to happen if we get a few tough draws.

With the league, we need to be consistent over a lot more games, but a lot of those games will be against teams that we should still beat, even with our injury crisis..



In terms of which I’d prefer... give me number 20, so we can start the “back on our perch” movement!

The absolute worst we have after ten games is a share of top of the League. We’d have been absolutely delighted by that almost every season I can recall.

You could argue (very well) that we are 2 incredibly contentious decisions against Everton and Brighton away from a 4 point lead at the top.

If we keep doing what we are doing, then worst case we will be in the mix at the end of the season.
