    Ajax vs Liverpool - Champions League Group D (20/21 - Game 1)

    The calm after the storm?

Feels good to have another game. We can't do anything about Virgil's injury, so we may as well focus on the games we have. I suspect we may see a couple of changes for this game as they are going to come thick and fast over the next month or 2.

    Buzzo's predicted team:

    ----------------------------Adrian-------------------------------

    Trent-------------Fabinho----------Gomez--------------Robbo

    --------------------------Henderson----------------------------

    ---------Gini-----------------------------------Jones-----------

    Jota-----------------------Salah--------------------------Mane

Bench: Kelleher, Minamino, Milner, Shaq, Van Der Berg, Origi, Williams

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

      Good team selection.

I wonder will Minamino make a start here?? Might suit him.

With Adrian in goal, then we will need a minimum of 3 goals to have a chance to win the game. He is ****in ****e.

At the very least Minamino will start next Tuesday against FC mitjlyamd (or whatever).

No Bobby? Think he needs a rest?

Yeah after all the flying to SA I’d leave Bobby at home too
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

This rotation lark will be well tricky, Hendo and Fabinho can't play every game, we need them both for the difficult games, and preferably always one of them at least.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

When is Naby lad back? Wouldn't mind seeing Curtis or Shaq tomorrow...we tend to lose all our CL away games and still get out of the group. Draw would be fine.

Naby's in contention for the Ajax game

More than likely see him start if Fab is at CB and Thiago is out injured.

Gini, Hendo and Naby in midfield.

Just caught a glimpse of the team training before the game tomorrow. No sign off Joel or Thiago.

Nate Philips and Rhys Williams both training. Looks like Gomez and Fabinho tomorrow then?

Giving Matip and Thiago a rest is probably a smart thing. Fabinho & Gomez imo will start. Maybe Jones of Shaq in the middle for some fresh legs although Gini had a good rest.

Is this the last season in the Champions League for us??? The news today isn't going to go down well elsewhere

                            I'd expect:

Adrian, Trent, Gomez, Fabinho, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane

Possibly Milner for Keita if he's not yet 100%

With Fab pinging the ball out to the flanks a la Virge.
