    -------------------

    This is it!

We are top of the league, say we are top of the league!

A very convincing, albeit nervy win over Spurs sees us go top of the league and at least a point over Crystal Palace would cement our place at the top over the Christmas period.

Klopp, best manager again. Let's stay awake for this one and we should walk it.

So how do we line up? We have barely any options to rotate in - losing Jota is a cruel blow. Let's assume Matip will be fit given he was so close midweek. I think Naby will come in for one of the midfield 3 - surely one of them has to have a rest? - probably Jones. That's probably about it?

We have a week off so I think we can afford to go like this:

            Alisson

            Trent
            Matip
            Fabinho
            Robbo

            Henderson
            Gini
            Keita

            Salah
            Firmino
            Mane
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Start the weekend with a win build a 6 point gap and it puts big pressure on everyone else.
              Modifying post.

Yeah, need to go strong if possible and give the lads a couple of days off and go again next week.
                Are we winning?

All joking aside, I'm glad he's out. When he scored 2 last weekend I said to my brother he'll probably go on a scoring run for a few games, so I wasn't surprised to see him score again midweek. With 3 goals in 2 games, I'd have been worried the Aston Villa Benteke that tortured us a few times would show up.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

To be fair to Benteke, he was starting to look a threat again. He played well against Spurs, linking play and being a nuisance. It’s a relief he’s not playing.

Possibility of Fab moving to midfield and Matip and Williams playing in defence?
                          Football without Origi is nothing

Most likely Ayew, but maybe Batshuayi who is on loan again.

I think that'd be a bad idea personally
