I would not rush Fabinho back. So Kabak starts for me tomorrow with Philips or Davies.

    Yep I agree with this

Fabinho has to play CB rest of season. Need his experience there plus one other.

That is not my midfield for tomorrow as I wouldn’t risk Milner. But I think it’s our best mid in terms of being industrious and solid which is what we need right now.

Would argue that with Henderson out for pretty much the rest of teh season that a fit Fabinho might be even more needed in midfield than at the back going by how easy it is to run through our midfield ansd right at the CBs in recent games.

When we are defending Fab as the CDM would drop back in front of the CBs or he could push back between them.

I’ve had a think about it and that could work . It’s hinges a bit on how well Davies integrates but let’s give him a chance. My team is the safer option but yours would give us more pace and physicality.

One thing for me is that Thiago is a non-starter now. Fabinho and Milner definitely start in mid and one other (Keita or Jones).

Surely Davies with his experience of playing in the Championship should be able to start against a soon to be in the Championship again team.

Basically I want any pairing that allows Fabinho to go back into midfield.
Irrespective of the Championship level he has just played more senior games than either of the two plus all in English leagues. I’d play Davis + 1 as he is the footballing CB and the other two are the tougher ones - prob Davis and Phillips for me.

I'd like us to win 3 to 1 with Brewster scoring for them.

I'd prefer 3-0 to be honest, with nobody scoring against us.

The seasons gone. We get 3 points and brewster gets off the mark. You're just cold and heartless.

Made that same arguement in here a couple weeks back and a few said that Phillips was the more experienced by virtue of having played in a handful of PL games and being through a PL club system.

The logic being, I think, the difference between the PL and the Championship being such that a small sample of PL playing time (and training etc at PL level) beats a few hundred senior games at a lower level.

I disagree with that as minutes on the pitch is what creates game experience. More minutes equals more experience.

Just realised this is the 1st of 4 games in 10 days.

Good job we’ve got few players coming back, but this is potentially a very tricky spell for further injuries. Might see some unpopular starting line ups over the next week and a half.

Only if Gini gets subbed and has to pass the armband on to someone
