Thought it was obvious that Kev was in goal and standing on the edge of the box discussing tea with Robertson?

Do not think past track records mean anything this season.
Just looking at the league table from Chelsea in 4th down to Arsenal on 10th, and if we are going to say we are on the heels of Chelsea (8 points ahead of us with a game more played), West Ham (5 points ahead), Everton (3 points ahead), and Spurs (2 points ahead).
Then safe to safe that we have a few times hard on our heels too with Villa (2 points behind us with a game in hand) and Arsenal (2 points behind).
We are in a position where we have to win most of our final ten games, probably need to get 25 or more points from the ten games and still need five teams to drop a lot of points. Big ask for us given we have only gotten 10 points from the last 12 league games and are on a run of six losses from our last seven league games.
I am more or less at the point where I get to each match day hoping/expecting us to have the game that turns things around for us whilst at the same time accepting that getting 4th place this year would require something really outlandish to happen at six clubs (the five we are chasing plus us).I don't hate people. Too right! Surely he'd have to be insane after what we've just seen in the last match. Fingers crossed he'll go with the same team at the back/midfield.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostIf we see the line up and Fabinho is playing center back, this place is going to go bat**** ha ha

Regardless of what anyone else does we probably have to win at least 9 out of our remaining 10 games IMO. That takes a massive turnaround from where we are now. The highest points today we can get is 73, I'd be surprised if you could make top 4 this year with less than 70 given how many sides are still in the hunt.Originally posted by Norbs View PostLeicester back on track so there's only one place up for grabs now. Yep that is the crux of where we are. We pretty much have to be near perfect for the remaining ten games to even have an outside chance of 4th place. We lose a couple games or even rack up a few draws and that will be us probably out of the running realistically.
We have the worst form in the top ten over the past five league games, we have the worst points per game in the top ten since the 1st January, and only Newcastle have gotten less points than us in the League since January 1st. Thay have gotten 9 points whereas us and West Brom have 10 a piece from that 12 game period.
What is more worrying is how our Points per game continued to worsen from 1st February onwards.
Seen articles saying that Chelsea's form is only 2 points per game over the past five games, and how Everton, West Ham, and Spurs are only averaging 1.8 points per game over the past five games. We are clocking up a mighty 0.6 over the past five games and if you look at from the 1st Feb to now we are at 0.42 points per game.
Chelsea maintain that 2 points per game average, and it is not a stretch to see them doing that and they finish on 69 points. West Ham, Everton and Spurs continue to chuck away with their losing two for every three they win pattern and they finish the season on 66, 64, 63 points. And that is assuming that not one of theose four teams will put a good run together.
We need 9 wins from our remaining ten games to get 70 points. We win 7 from 10 (or get the same amount of points with draws in some games) and we cannot finish on higher than 64 points.
Basically our margin for error from the next 30 points worth of games is 3 points and even then we could mathematically still not get 4th place.
All we can do is keep plugging away and hope for four teams to collapse whilst we soar.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
