I've enjoyed watching football for the first time in a year probably. Jota is amazing, Fabinho too. I feel the front three need a new challenge though. The drop in form is in no way connected to their quality, they are all still among the very best forwards in the world, it's just that they often do not seem inspired anymore. It's hard to say it, but in that kind of situation selling seems like the best option. If something like that was at all possible, I would sell Firmino and one out of Mane/Salah and try to build a new attack around Jota, a star signing and the remaining one. Will be very hard to see them broken up though.
Also Nat Phillips no longer feels to me like he is in that Flanagan/Kelly/Spearing/Stewart category of a young player being thrown in and punching above his weight for a while before crashing down hard. Looks absolutely the real deal, I mean he has certain weaknesses that are there to be seen, but definitely looks like someone we should keep.
Selling the multiple times, and current, pl top scorer to fund a player to support Jota in attack is bold, but I'm not buying it. If salah wants to move on then fine, but selling him for tactical reasons would be mental.

What they need is occasional rest and competition for their places. I am betting the availability of Jota is going to improve Firmino's performances now. We need one more Jota level signing to keep the pressure on Mane/Salah.
It was a really good performance and result in the end, our issues recently though have been struggling to get that first goal. I felt that once we had the lead we were happier to try and play the forwards in first time. We had opportunities to do this in the first half too but always seemed to want to play the extra pass and that lost is some chances.
I really want Mane to get a run of goals together
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I know what you mean. Them wanting to leave is kinda what I also had in mind though, seems to me that after winning the CL and league here there is no longer much spark in their game, despite Salah's great results this season.
Anyway the second half of my brilliant plan was that selling Firmino and one of Mane/Salah could fund someone like Haaland, Mbappe or Son maybe
So it's not like I was going for a downgrade. But it's probably all very unrealistic anyway haha.
