Anyway, back to the league. Anyone thinking we're capable of stringing a run of wins together to secure a top 4 finish is deluded.

I think we are. But we are going to be in the hunt rather than making it easy for ourselves. We’ve picked up a lot since the end of Feb, and I don’t see the likes of Leicester nor WHU going on unbeaten runs either.

I think that we probably need to win 5 of our remaining 6 games, if Chelsea win their game in hand we are 4 points behind them and 2 behind West Ham, that late goal last night was a big blow. I think that it is possible but it won't be easy, our best chance really is hoping that the others slip up.

Fortunately Chelsea play West Ham at the weekend just after we play Newcastle. So again we have an opportunity this weekend. But yeah, we will need to be on a really good run to see this home, and we would have applied a bit of score board pressure with a win last night.

I think the top four is gone for us.

                  We’re well below par.
We’re misfiring in front of goal most games.
We need at least 2 other teams to drop more points than us.

There are no guarantees obvs, and I am not saying that we will make it. But.

We arent in that bad form last 5 games.
WHU and LC are also not in the best of form.
The teams above us play each other.

We are right in the mix in my opinion.

We’ve been decent in patches, but overall we haven’t been convincing and the results reflect that.

                      We’re outsiders at this stage.

I don't think 4th place is gone as such but ffs we just have made it so hard for ourselves. We are a shadow of the last few seasons. I get a winning team stagnating or deteriorating but we seem to have lost the desire and hunger than made us champions. The whole ethos of the team has just disappeared.

Dropping Salah last night was baffling, why? Absolutely must win game and our top goal scorer by a mile is on the bench. Mane actually manage to score last night but did nothing else, Firmino as per usual did nothing but run around & Jota had a stinker. Mo came on when Leeds were in the ascendancy and although he wasn't great, he is and always will be our best chance of scoring a goal.

Gini non existent, Thiago has nothing in a LFC shirt to warrant the hype but I was impressed with Milner, same vs Madrid. A bit of bite and actually talking, our lads seem so timid and quiet. Firmino got booked for a tackle and he hardly touched him & we just accepted it, it's been like this all season. City, United, Madrid, Barca, Munich are all over refs.... we are just too nice.

I thought Trent was great going forward & has improved recently, he's not a good defender but if he is producing goals and assists going forward, imo he can be forgiven for some defensive lapses. Robbo on the other side dear lord, wtf he can't seem to find a 5 yard pass these days & we are letting him take corners and free kicks on the left side that it seems that 99.9% of them he mi****s. I actually thought Kabak had a decent game. One or two little errors but he was good on the ball, especially in the first half playing on the front foot.

We definitely need a few changes next season. Gini has offered little or nothing this season & although I am a fan his head just seems to be out the door. We 100% need a striker, Bobby seems almost bulletproof under Klopp and has scored 6 goals in all comps this season, last year 10 goals. Those stats are just not good enough, watching him shank and mi****s shots is painful. Even Mane who is probably playing the worst football of his career has double the goals Bobby has & double the goals last season too. The excuse that Bobby is not a conventional no.9 & that he is the vital link had it's merits in the past but it's been a long time since that statement was valid imo. he need to earn that back.

Leeds are the fittest side in the league & it showed in the second half, our legs went & they were excellent but that game should have been dead and buried, how many times have we said that this season. Defence is a big issue but not the main issue. If Bobby & Mane were firing this season we would have cruised the champs league spots & pushed on in the champs league regardless of the gaps in defence. Jota getting injured really put a spanner in the works but imo is a quality signing, Thiago i'm just not sure about. He has offered absolutely nothing, just like Keita. Two signing that I thought would be game changers have been such a let down. Ox, Shaq, Origi have been irrelevant.

Newcastle will give us a game & I can't see us beating the mancs after that. We have 'favorable' fixtures but so do other teams around us. I don't expect much from us in the remaining games.

Not sure it's been mentioned but arguably the player who might have made the difference from recent games was Phillips, if he wasn't injured he probably heads clear the corner they score from

As for top 4 this weekend is massive as Chelsea and West Ham play each other on Saturday ideal result would be a draw, if that happens and we beat Newcastle we are level on points with both having all played same no of games. If there is a winner in that game and we fail to beat Newcastle, it is looking very difficult. As I said before I think we need 5 wins from our last 6

I still feel we'll get top 4. We're still in it, and that's the great thing.
                              Are we winning?

That's the annoying thing about Monday's result. We would be level on points with them both now and potentially ahead next weekend.
