I thought we were playing well but Firmimo and Gini let us down constantly with sloppy play in the second half and it tipped the balance in their favour.

I hate singling out but these two players have been really poor this year.

Really just fed up with football this season,.

Given the injuries we've had in defence I could have accepted if we are in the position we are in because we were scoring goals but letting in **** loads. The fact is that the attacking players have let down our 6th choice defence or whatever the **** we are on at the moment. Since the start of the year we have played 17 PL games we have only conceded more that 1 goal in 3 of those games, we didn't score more than 1 goal in 12 games we fail to score at all in 7 of those. Clearly tells you where the problem is.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I felt furious today. I’d been livid since mid first half when we started being sloppy and not keeping the ball well enough and inviting pressure. Got better second half until the last 5 minutes when we dropped deeper and deeper and stopped keeping the ball.

I’ll still watch the games as none much left now but it’s been a year to forget all round. Grateful I’ve witnessed us being champions and feel it’s a pity we could not give these players the send off they deserved last year. This is the only regret I have.
        Are we winning?

A change is needed. At Liverpool FC you cannot have a non goal scoring CF.

If we'd been able to score 2 goals a game in PL since January we could have had 22 points more than we have at the monent. Five 1-0 defeats become 2-1 victories, two 1-1 draws become 2-1 wins and the 2-0 Derby defeat becomes a draw and 0-0 with Man Utd becomes a win. In most of those games we had the chances, and even if we just did it in just some of them we are probably comfortably above Leicester if not Man Utd in the table . Shows how woeful our finishing has been.

                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Jesus, yeah that's a pretty glaring statistic. It's not experience but the others are up for debate this season that's for sure.

Suspect it’s kinda a reversal of the points we gained in the last 15 mins over the last few seasons too.

FS, not doing a good job backing away from this **** am I?

Mane and Firmino are the problem up front. Along with the loss of Henderson orchestrating intensity.

                      Regardless, we've been bad champions.

Ugggh it's so depressing. I think I ll watch the United game and if we lose that I might give the others a miss.

                          Woulda shoulda coulda.

If we played less well last year we would not have won the title.

Think every team in the league could point to about ten games or more and pick things that would have given them more points over the course of a season.

Think that despite the various issues outside of our control, like VAR, the cold hard fact is we are where we deserve to be this season. Our form since Christmas day is not far off being relegation form.

23 points from a potential 57 which if put over a 38 game since would be a 46 point season.

Mad thing is if you look at our form up as far as Christmas day and we have 31 points from a potential 42 which over 38 games would have given us 84 points.

What might be a little glimmer of hope though is that our league form over the past five games is closer to that of before Christmas day.

Was also looking at Salah's goals this morning and damn has he been crucial in us being as high as we are. I went to every game in which he scored and checked to see what the result would be without his goals. 15 points extra is what his goals have been worth to us this season. Nine games in which his goals were the difference makers in earning us the points we got.

So that highlights what we all know about the other attackers and how they are not chipping in the same way.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Although salah scores he's also responsible for missing chances which would have killed games. He doesn't get 2 or 3 very often in a game despite sometimes having the most chances. Agree the others are not pulling their weight.

And that is why we need more than one single player pulling their weight when it comes to scoring.

Tbh I do not care about the chances that Salah misses because he pulls us out of the fire so many other times and so many times his goals are the difference between some points and no points whereas with the majority of the rest of our team they just miss the chances and only on occassion chip in with difference making goals.

If Salah becomes a player that misses chances all the time and only now and then scores, then he becomes more responsible for games not being won or drawn but as things stand this season he is our only consistent goal threat, our only consistent goal getter and our only consistent difference maker in attack.

The man has shown he will score when the team is on form and flying. He will score when the team is playing ****e. He will come up with the goods with no crowds in the ground and a pandemic raging around the planet.

We liked to call the team a team of mentality monsters last season when everything was going great.

Well this season Salah is one of a small number of our players who has shown he is a mentality monster when the going gets tough on and off the pitch.
