Having a 2nd fast CB won’t hurt but those were down to midfield issues more than the back imo.

Hopefully we’re getting back to having some options there, feels like we’ve been having to play whichever 3 are fit for the last bunch of games.

I loved his performance against ManUre but his positioning and decisions have not been as good since. Caught in no man's land at a key moment last night.

Got a lot to learn and needs to learn it fast.

he's still young for a CB and new coming in etc etc, but his temperament/reading of the game seems way off for a CB at the moment.

He seems to have enough about him to recover situations though.

“Way off” is a bit harsh. Made a couple of mistakes but was excellent apart from that. Brought the ball out of defence really well. It’s just decision making in our system that he needs to learn and this will come with games. I have absolutely no doubt he will come good.
              Are we winning?

A big physical unit with great potential. His positional sense needs to be better.....but this will come with time. A couple of times he was dragged unnecessary out to the sideline. At set pieces Matip was constantly telling to move further down the defending line to mark players

Just saw this on FB. High praise indeed

Zlatan Ibrahimovic "I asked to exchange shirts with Liverpool defender Konate, he won all the fights with me on the ground and in the air, I told him that he will be a great defender in the future and that he remembers my words well."

He dominated Ibra physically and I thought he played very well but Ibrahimovic's movement or should I say lack of movement was farcical. We cruised that game with a second string team, away from home and had already qualified. That was a must win, huge game with massive financial implications for them, playing at home and they were an embarrassment.... they are also currently top of Serie A. Bit of an indictment on the league to be honest.

****ing hell, Ibrahimovic is taking credit for when Konate turns in to a worldie

I'd piss myself if Konate said no lol

Aye, even Mourinho is struggling in that league with Roma...how the mighty have fallen!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Superb again tonight. He really is a beast. Loved it when he took out three of their players at that corner that we eventually scored from. I’d give him the assist for that
