To be fair our title win wasn't a race it was a precession

It'll go down to the wire but City do absolutely have an advantage. The 3 points isn't ideal but it's not the end of the world. I think with all the covid stuff and double game weeks etc, squads are being tested to the limit. City do not compromise when they rotate, it's why they've been so successful with the domestic cups in recent years as their 2nd string is stronger than most teams 1st strings. It's not a level playing field and we will need some luck, our first team is as good as anybody's, the squad not so much. I'm still hoping we can bring someone in the Jan window to bolster things, especially in the midfield.

They do indeed. Them having what is in effective 2.5 first teams worth of players means they should be running away with every competition they are in.

Will never happen, but every time they do not win a competition they should be coming under massive scrutiny for failing.

They have zero excuses for not winning everything every season domestically and in the CL.

A top manager, the deepest squad in terms of quality and the ability to buy players at will and simply stockpile the.

They should be doing every year in the PL what we did in 2019/20 and just running away with it and every time they do not win it by a huge margin questions should be getting asked of Pep and his team.

Let’s be honest, nobody knows that.

I get that everyone is getting themselves ready for disappointment, but I don’t see any fun in approaching sport in that way. Sport if full of opportunity to make gains and inroads.

Whether it’s CL or the prem I think we are well placed for a cracking 2022.

The next month or so is key, there are alot of fixtures, City are on a good run 8 straight PL wins I think, if they can keep that going and make it 14 or 15 I suspect that they will have opened up a decent lead particularly with us losing key players to the ACN.

If however we can keep the gap at about 3 points while the guys are at the ACN then it will go down to the wire, and I can see a 2018-19 type title race if we can string the wins together, because City are capable of that.

We got ****ed in the ass by the referees and VAR idiots at both West ham and Spurs. And the Premier league make a ****in dog**** effort of keeping the competition fair with the covid impact.

                  Really is a ****in disgrace

also could say that we were ****ed over, in the man city vs wolves game! That penalty was a joke and the game had 0-0 written allover it til they got it!

Regarding covid, it’s a joke- if it had been the 19/20 season, when covid first hit I’d say fair enough, but it’s crazy that 2 seasons later, when COVID’s still around, that they don’t have any sort of published protocol for when a game can be postponed. I wonder whether Leeds have more cases than we had, when the game against spurs went ahead, for example…

also is it just based on number of cases in the squad, or does it matter whether those players realistically would have played. Klopp calling for more transparency, makes sense. Despite any sort of legal reasons, they’re happy not to have transparency for the same reason that the var guys aren’t mic’d up- they’d only come under criticism if they did! I reckon united defo used it as an excuse to have a training camp with the new manager for example. It was prob Phil Jones and a bunch of under 18s who had covid…

But with Shrewsbury in between those two games - expect the u23s or that one.

It'll be interesting to see what we do team wise for these games obviously we have put understrength teams out so far. But this is a semi final, the likes of Salah, Mane and Keita will be away at ACN so it will never be our strongest side but will we go as strong as we can, go with a slightly rotated side of full rotation?
