How many people can fit on a coach? 50 or so?

So that is only 5,000 people and if it is an even split then only 2,500 of our guys.

That is a load of crap.

The FA are saying they hope for a sold out Wembley and transport for 5,000 fans is being laid on. So with no trains and very limited by way of bus services available, how are the other 60 to 80 thousand fans of two clubs from the NW of England supposed to get to London on a bank holdiaty weekend when the roads will be worse than normal thanks to the rail and bus issues?

Would love to see Liverpool and Man City release a joint statement saying they will not play and put the FA in a position where they have to make the other semi final the actual final and then miss out of two games worth of revenue.

And if the FA then want to throw fines around, the two clubs should just put out very weakened teams come January next year so that the competition has to get by without two of the biggest names in it.


Never going to happen of course, but some sort of stand should be made on behalf of the match goers that will be badly impacted upon on the day.


Failing that, the Mancs can fly direct to Cork airport from Manc airport and we can fly from Speke to Cork airport and I will allow the game to be played on the local pitch near me.

I thought I read a few years ago that the FA had a contract compelling them to have the semis at Wembley, so really the issue is the timing. There are always major train engineering works at Easter, so why timetable the semis for that weekend?

Club Wembley members pay whatever stupid prices for a 10 year ticket or something like that and they get guaranteed access to all home England games, FA Cup semis and final, league cup final, and play offs too iirc. It was never going to move as would break contract with them.

No idea what the face value was but we paid 1400 per ticket for the league cup final next to the royal box... I did not know that at the time. I thought it was just 400. But I am guessing the season tickets must be pretty expensive. Especially for the quality of football at the England games.
