i think it is unlikely......but being away from home might suit spurs.

Some teams are better playing teams that they should not beat. LFC used to be like that under Evans and Houllier.......and even Rafa in some seasons as well. We'd go and beat United or Arsenal and then **** it up against Bolton or Portsmouth.

Spurs might be like that. Their natural game might be actually to play for a nil all and get something on the counter attack. United under Ole Sols-joker were the same.

City have won a lot of their points in a lucky fashion in my view. They were lucky v Wolves and Arsenal over the last few months. Where they will feel pressure is around the champions league. It is a pity that they didn't get a trickier tie in the CL but the CL is their holy grail and if we can keep within touching distance when those games kick off again, then there could be pressure on them.

I actually think if we were to meet them in the next round of the CL - and maybe even the FA Cup as well - then it might put their whole team on a load of pressure. Who knows, they might win all of them against us and we'd be sick - but I would fancy us against them. Especially in the CL. It kind of would be epic - we'd end up playing them around 4 times in the space of a few weeks.

It would also add a lot of pressure to us though! Would be a lot better if they got someone like Bayern, and we got a handy draw on paper- the feeling of injustice could rattle them a little bit.

Agree with your point about CL being the holy grail… they might let their guard down before/after a big CL game
      I don't tip

CL quarters are either side of league game against City, FA cup semi following week. Potentially 4 games in 10 days

City was going to walk this according to some.
              Are we winning?

Only needed a little wobble, nothing more. We did our job by winning the last 5, but City know full well we are their equals if not more.

Level things up in games in Wednesday which is another game you'd hope we can win. City then away to Everton at the weekend and Everton can't afford to throw the game like they would normally.

This time next week we could be 3pts behind with a game in hand and superior GD

To be fair Everton don't need to throw the game to lose heavily to anyone, Everton are just crap
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We beat Norwich at home 3pm Saturday. Then (and granted this is the unlikely bit) Spurs beat City at the Empty. We then play our game in hand and beat Leeds at home on the Weds.

Three point gap. Even if City drew with Spurs it is 4.

City then play Everton and us West Ham…

Then they have the Manc derby.

Fairly soon, this has a list of provisional dates for announcements and the date suggested for April fixtures is Monday, so hopefully next week sometime.
