Do you think there's any chance of nicking Pedri in the Summer? He's the one that long term I think could do some of what Thiago does. If it is remotely possible he'd be the one I'd move heaven and earth to bring in.

Garth Crooks had another couple of subtle digs again this week.

First one stating 'No one has a longer unbeaten run in the PL currently' as Newcastle, conveniently omitting to mention the we're on the same run, 8 games.

Then saying that a slip up 'allows us in' as if we don't merit it, and goes on to say our brand of football is inferior to City's.

I don't read his rationale often, as he repeats himself endlessly.

He tends to presents universally agreed thought and common thinking as unique insight. And even then it is sort of 'I've always said Van Dijk is a great defender' level analysis.
