Should of been 3 times but for VAR at Everton.

I hope Burnley kick the **** out of them - their front line looks pretty decent actually!

If I could hand pick any signing in the world, it would probably be Pedri. He's an absurd talent.

Although I'd probably have Bellingham ahead of him as he scores goals.

Pedri + Gavi are both ridiculous talents though.

Any of those 3 or Frenkie De Jong.

They’re all ridiculously talented and complete.

Although if Fabio Carvalho comes in, maybe there is more of a need for Bellingham or De Jong.

The latter would bring more experience. I don’t see gavi or Pedri leaving Barca with xavi there.

Carvalho, one other CM and maybe a promising back up right back.

Even if one of Salah, Mane or Firmino was sold, I’m not sure they’d sign a direct position for position replacement now that Diaz is here.

Raphinia linked today again but hard to see how there’s room.

You know what they need…. VAVAR!! A team in a studio reviewing replays, to then tell the VAR boys that they should have reviewed an incident, in which case VAR then reevaluates it’s decision about whether they should tell the ref to review it..

Dunno about anyone else but my heart was racing during that 2nd half last night. It's going to be a long and arduous few months. **** me.

I loved watching that game last night.

Normally watching City games are dull sterile affairs more akin to watching "peak" Barca stifle all excitement from games than the amazing free flowing team the pundits witter on about. Especially if City score in the first half.

City games like the one last night come with that chance of a plucky underdog result and as such are causing that brilliant build up of hope within one's self.

You get to half time and it is 0-0 and you are thinking City will surely score soon, but once it hits the 60 minute mark you perk up some more, and it becomes "surely not?" and shouts of "Come onnnnn" every time a City move breaks down or the other team makes an attack.

Some might say it is the hope that kills you, me I think it is the hope that makes the unlikely, like last night's result, taste all the more sweet.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

And hopefully they will have the upgrade ready to take it to the next level...

I think it takes a bit of heat out of our game vs City, where a draw won’t be such a bad result.

We have to win on Weds.

We are far superior to Arsenal and anything less than a win is a disappointing result. They are on a decent run, but they have been beating teams you would expect them to. Plus in January, they had 0 wins from 5 in all competitons.

                          20/11/21 Liverpool 4 0 Arsenal
                          27/11/21 Arsenal 2 0 Newcastle
                          02/12/21 United 3 2 Arsenal
                          06/12/21 Everton 2 1 Arsenal
                          11/12/21 Arsenal 3 0 Southampton
                          15/12/21 Arsenal 2 0 West Ham
                          18/12/21 Leeds 1 4 Arsenal
                          21/12/21 Arsenal 5 1 Sunderland (League Cup)
                          26/12/21 Norwich 0 5 Arsenal
                          01/01/22 Arsenal 1 2 City
                          09/01/22 Forest 1 0 Arsenal (FA Cup)

                          13/01/22 Liverpool 0 0 Arsenal (League Cup)
                          20/01/22 Arsenal 0 2 Liverpool (League Cup)
                          23/01/22 Arsenal 0 0 Burnley
                          10/02/22 Wolves 0 1 Arsenal
                          19/02/22 Arsenal 2 1 Brentford
                          24/02/22 Arsenal 2 1 Wolves
                          06/03/22 Watford 2 3 Arsenal
                          13/03/22 Arsenal 2 0 Leicester

That's all their results since we last played them in the league. The City defeat was probably one of the best performances during that run, with most wins matches you would expect them to win. They shouldn't be underestimated, but equally we shouldn't be considering a draw anything other than a disappointing result and an opportunity missed. If you exclude July 2020 when the league was wrapped up, it's been 7 years since they've beat us in a competitive game and there is a reason for this.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I’ve not considered a draw, but it won’t be a disaster if it happens.
                            Are we winning?

We've got breathing room for sure, but still have Utd (stop laughing at the back) and Spurs to come so will probably need s buffer in the next few weeks. Beating City is a must regardless.

If we draw vs Arsenal and we beat Watford, we go top on goal difference before we play City.
