Fair point - fitness. I know Klopp is fairly rigid in his formation but a midfield four of Fab - Hendo Thiago - Keita (diamond) would look good (IMO) with Jota and Salah upfront. Never going to happenOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostI don't know where they are fitness wise but I don't know that he would start both Henderson and Thiago. Henderson managed 90 mins today, Thiago has just had a few mins off the bench twice. I suspect it will be Fab, Henderson and Keita, with Thiago again coming off the bench and Elliott's involvement depending on the game situation.
Another MASSIVE game

I missed both, why what did he say?Originally posted by Buzzo View PostDyche is going to go mental after that Klopp interview. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't see what's wrong with that, as I said the ref today was ****, there were at least 2 or 3 yellow cards for individual incidents from their players IMO and that's not counting the 'totting up' effect, I am baffled as to how there were no yellows in the game, also how the Tarkowski(?) arm to Alisson's head wasn't even a foul.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostI’ve not seen Dyche, but Klopp basically saying that Burnley get away with a lot of fouling and being too physical.
Despite all their hard challenges on us they go down fairly easily when there is any contact on them. Dyche can **** off, horrible team. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We’ve done what’s been expected but we were casual at times today and Ali made a few vital saves. VVD and Matip back together make a huge difference

I think that numbers wise we would be fine if it weren't for the injury records of certain players, we have 8 guys in there, but with their respective injury records it's really more like 5 or 6 (and that will be reduced if Shaqiri leaves).Originally posted by labourRed View PostI'm not so sure. Physically it very much depends who is out there, injuries to the wrong players at the wrong time could make us physically weak in there too.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

TBF, Thiago has the touch of Fernandinho's about him and generally gets away with murder.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostNow just imagine how quickly that would have been a yellow had someone like Thiago or Henderson done something like that.
Not a chance in hell.Originally posted by labourRed View PostNailed on Fabinho replaces Elliot. It wouldn't surprise me if Milner comes in for Keita as well but the former isn't in question. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

A few takes from that match.- Matip and Van Dijk looked imperious despite not having played together for a good while, really nice to see that in our defence. That should only improve during the course of the season.
- Becker is sharp as ****. Commanded his box against the worst kind of opposition and made great saves when called on. Majestic.
- Burnley, despite being able to play a bit of football when they want to, are a side of cloggers, cart-horses and lollygaggers. **** them as a shower of bellends and their parody ****house manager.
- Trent will be making his transition to midfielder at some point soon, surely? He's as bad at the back as he's good at the front if I can both elevate and lower him simultaneously.
- Mane still isn't the player he was, despite a cracking finish today. Don't know what's up with him.
- Jota continues to provide the kind of difference in our play we've need for a couple of years. Leapt like a salmon between two galoots by getting to the right spot. The look on the Burnley defenders' faces as they realised he'd gubbed them was like the first bite of a bacon sandwich the morning after a stag do.
- Tsimikas is the nicest surprise we've had at left back since Robertson. Who knew?
- Elliot has stepped up and shown he's not wanting. He'll only get better as well. Love it.
- Keita. Couple of ok passes, a few misplaced ones, a rickett at the back that he was lucky not to be punished for and a wildly hit shot into the back of the stands. He's not designed for where Jurgen is playing him now, having pretty much proved he's not good enough to play for us in the position that he is designed for.
And of course, nice to have the crowd back although I was expecting greater levels of noise considering.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad
