Early kick off Saturday morning - we’ve struggled to beat these at home the last few times right? I expect GK and back 4 to be the same, Fab to come in to the midfield and it depends on who goes out. I wonder will it be Bobby or Jota.

Thiago, Hendo both played 70 mins in the behind closed doors game vs Villa so they’ll be in the bench at least

Big decision is Virgil. Ideally want him for the Chelsea game. Can he play three games in 3 weeks at this point? May see him rested with a view to starting against Chelsea.

i think Virgil will start. If he can't play a game a week at this stage then he wouldn't have started against Norwich. Also, if he did miss out here, then putting him in against Chelsea might have been a risk - as he wouldn't have played in 2 weeks.

i think Virgil will start. If he can't play a game a week at this stage then he wouldn't have started against Norwich. Also, if he did miss out here, then putting him in against Chelsea might have been a risk - as he wouldn't have played in 2 weeks.

My concern centres around any adverse reaction to his first 90 mins in 10 months.

I prefer Bobby in the Jota role, but dropping him would be a bit of a kick when he got us off to a good start by scoring our opener. And it would be interesting to see him with two creative players behind him, cos he makes intelligent runs but is often not spotted/found.

We do have some options in midfield when you throw Curtis into the mix.

I really want Ox to do well, he is a quality player he just needs more than the odd start every 2 to 3 months to prove it. His problem is all the other midfielders would say the same and some of them can and have hit the ground running.

I think Ox offers something different, and, more importantly is the only one of our midfielders who will look to score from outside the box every game.

absolutely, having Fab to marshal and Thiago to pick passes to the front lads and that's a whole new dynamic. Jota makes quality runs, finds the gaps and always gets chances.
