Ironically...... I'd have preffered Bobby on against the ten men. Jota very quiet 2nd half bar the header over

Don’t understand why Trent wasn’t glued to the sideline, would have stretched Chelsea even more and our crossing would have been so much better

No one settled for a draw. Apart from the first 15 Mins of the second half when we threatened to blow them away, we couldn’t push on. Chelsea probably deserved that draw in the end. Decides nothing, no one loses anything.

It's clear that we need more quality additions to this squad. The Chelsea defenders had our attackers on their pockets, Hendo was ineffective and Elliott had a few moments. Against a quality team we see the holes.

I hope we’re not going to have to support this every game we fail to win ffs.

A poor attempt to break down their efficient block, and we will see plenty of this against most teams.
We need better variations in our approach play.

We played well in parts but overall we lacked creativity and had no real attacking flow or style. The ref could have added 20 minutes on and I wouldn't have fancied us to break them down, that's both a flaw in our system but also the players.

It's clear we need another option in attack and maybe a creative midfielder. Relying on Elliot to play a full 90, no other top team would be having to do that.

Yeah everyone’s entitled to there opinion but a draw at home vs the CL winners, who have spent about £350m on their squad in the last 12 months. Even with the man advantage is not a ‘disaster’.

They were good and deserved the draw. We lacked a bit of rythm but we are again unbeaten in absolutely ages.

Sorry mate but that’s bull****. They weren’t far better than us and went in front with a bit of a fluke goal. They played on the counter all game and defended doggedly second half and very deep. They’re a good side, didn’t expect us to win handsomely even against 10 men.

Obviously with the man advantage, you'd have wanted a victory out of that but it's not as simplistic as some make it out to be.

The attacking movement needs to be better from the forwards and fullbacks. For me, it's not so much a player thing or a formation thing, it's the style of play around the box, it's too slow and conservative when teams bus park.

It has become too predictable as teams just block out the middle of the pitch and then we have to go wide.

Chelsea did defend well with 8 outfield players behind the ball at all times, not a whole lot different than if they hadn't have been a man down.

All in all though, that's not a bad result for the third league game of the season. Few sloppy first touches out there that should iron themselves with more game time.

The biggest thing where we are ****ed imo is team fitness.

Our team is no longer the fittest and quickest at pressing.

The effort of the last 4 years has taken that edge away and it's unlikely to come back with this squad.

The effort was there 100% from every single player including Mane.

It's just the spark has gone out a little.

Chelsea often have more of the ball versus us, but our energy and desire has been enough to win games in the past.

A point is better than losing. Very early days. But I don't think we'll be challenging, but I hope to god I'm wrong.

Re the fitness we do have two centre backs coming back to full fitness and our central midfield. So maybe it'll pick up.
