Looks good to me...maybe Firmino in for Jota if he's fit.

I think he'll probably go with this apart from I would still expect Robertson to play ahead of Tsimikas.

We'll see a couple of changes on Sat. Timi at left back, VVD back and possibly Konate making his debut.
And does either Jota or Mo get a rest?

Mo is super human and will still be nipping up and down the right wing when he is 50.

I would expect Matip and VVD to play against Palace, and Matip + VVD to be rested for the League cup game for Gomez + Konate. Or as VVD has been rested last night, we might play him and Konate in the league cup game.

Mainly, I expect consistency formation wise in the league for now.
            Are we winning?

If he is still fully fit and not feeling any minor niggles, I don't see why he can't play this weekend. I don't see Konate starting in the PL yet, and playing Gomez in 2 games in quick succession is riskier that playing Matip I think. Joel is coming back from an ankle injury, Gomez is being eased back in after some major knee issues.

Lets just thrash them. Then afterwards we can all argue over who Klopp should or should not have started.

                  For Palace I'd play:

                  Alisson
                  TAA Matip VVD Robbo
                  Fab Thiago Hendo
                  Salah Jota Mane

Maybe rest Matip for Konate and Robbo for Tsimikas otherwise go full strength, blitz them and then take off players once the game is put to bed.

                  For EFL cup:

                  Kelleher
                  Gomez Phillips Konate Tsimikas
                  Milner Jones Keita
                  Ox Origi Minamino

Bring Bobby in if fit. Not sure Neco is available yet so play Gomez or Bradley at RB with Phillips getting well deserved minutes after last season.

I’d go strong here, and play the backups for the cup game.

Really don’t want to see ox starting a PL or CL game any time soon.. give him 90 min in all our cup games and see how he does there. Apart from that I’d keep him for sub cameos in games that are already wrapped up.

I wouldn't be concerned about starting ox if he's beside Fabinho and Henderson. He needs minutes as like shaqiri, I think he really struggles with confidence when he's not getting them and limited to sub appearances.

He's not as bad as some of the knee jerk reactions on here make out.

Squad rotation is tricky but I think Tsimikas, Jones etc all need minutes in case they are called upon in the event of injury.

Palace are a bang average side and a LFC side with a few second XI players should be able to beat them. Just need to be mindful of Edouard after his start last week and of course Zaha and they shouldn't cause a lot of problems. eze is still out for them as far as I'm aware.

League games are too important to be experimenting IMO, would love to see Tsimikas get some minutes but reckon it'll still be Robertson on Saturday and Matip will be back in beside VVD, Konante and either Gomez or Phillip can get a run out in the cup. Thiago needs to start against Palace as well.

When everyone's fit we've actually got quite a squad how long things stay like this IDK but let's enjoy it.

Just realised, Mane finished the season with 2 goals against Palace. That makes 4 goals in last 5 PL games.

                            Basically he's on fire.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Also check out his record against Palace. He is scoring at the weekend.

                                Wow. 9 goals.

Although you could have shared to save me looking.

Do you know how many appearances overall against Palace?
