We could have sorted that by having Milner on instead of Bobby, we were 2-1 at the time and controlling the play. Even at 3-2, I thought we should have brought someone to cover that side.
So attackers have the choice of what defender they pull onto. The defence have no option to "switch sides"

If they do the strikers would simply swap... They are the ones that run into space.

Sorry for being a dick. You are bang on with the other points though. Really poor at 50/50s and second balls The Firmino sub was poor and that's no slight on Bobby.

But that gives them something to think about as the angle they'll attack balls will be different. I suggested either they switch sides or we put more men near and around Matip to deal with second balls, we never did that today. Virgil was Ok, but it was chaos around him and we should have been smarter to deal with that.

Saying that, had Mo scored to make that 4-2, the game would have probably been wrapped up.
      Are we winning?

Mo chance would have killed the game alright. Gutting. Timmy maybe deserves his chance, Robbo hasn't been himself in a long time.

Half full - we're top of the league and undefeated.
          Half empty - sack Klopp

Decent theory but in practice it simply isn't a thing. Strikers playing in a two pull onto the defenders they "fancy."

Really disappointed that Matip didn't respond, I thought he had more nous than that.

Corners and crosses yes. Direct shots on goal free kicks he's not great.

Don't think the on pitch debate about who taking it helps. In the end it looks poorly thought out.

Not sure why when Jones scored we weren't beyond keeping him on.

Also why we didn't put another centre back on or Milner to try and close it.

We tried to win 4 2 which I suppose we should but salah fannyied about.

I thought the same - Jota struggled and lost the ball a lot on our right. Milner would’ve been a safer bet to see the game out

Obviously Klopp knows way more than me - but the change in formation meant that we had no-one helping the double up on Trent. Thought it looked obvious on telly.

Oh well, the man gets it right way more than gets it wrong - but think he was today.

I'm not disappointed as Brentford are my second team

Top of the league, Firmino's back and Champions League next up

Only just watched the game. Never the same knowing the result.

Dropping points against what is essentially a Championship side isn’t good enough. Team performance was poor. The one substitute was odd (not the player coming on but the type of substitute).

Results like this have proved costly in the past. Hopefully this will be a blip and a kick up the arse.

Reading the match thread is funny. Looks like we need to drop Trent, Matip, Robertson, Jota and Mane
                              Another MASSIVE game

When you put it like that, it was an extraordinary day.

I'm sure our defence won't allow that to happen again. We can and should beat City then we'll be back in the black.
