It was nowhere near as bad as some are making out.

Brentford played very well, they're a decent team with some talented young players and a good manager by the sounds of it. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up mid table.

It was just one of those days, LFC had the better chances and had they been taken still would have won. Their keeper makes a world class / lucky reaction save to deny jota, mo Salah somehow missed a sitter.

I'd be more concerned if the team were not creating chances.

It won't be the cake walk any of the pundits are claiming for City, LFC or Chelsea. There's too many good prem sides for it to be and that's why even with this draw, LFC have gone top of the league.

      Top of the league.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Brentford were excellent. My only gripe is why the duck was Trent left marking 2 or 3 players a number of times.

          Well summarised

I missed the game yesterday. Looked like a cracker, both teams going for it.

Those early evening Saturday kick offs away are always a challenge. Boisterous crowds, team playing with nothing to lose. Looks like we left a few chances out there, Salah should have had a hat-trick, but Brentford very deserving of their point.

I think the standard we have set over the last few seasons where we just won every single game have set an unrealistic bench mark, and the League looks full of teams that on their day will cause anyone a problem.

Top of the League after 6 games. I’d have settled for that.

A number of people were saying about how poor he was but a number of times on crosses from the left Brentford were getting 3 men on the back post and TAA was the only one there.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm a big fan of looking at a team's points per game when it comes to judging form, and right now we are showing the sort of form that would see a close to 87 point season.

Going to be a few more blips for us over the course of the season, but that high 80s finish, maybe a very low 90s, is where I think we will finish this season and any team that finishes above us is going to have to have done something pretty special.

You could have done similar last season until spring and then we had a club record string of losses. I’m not sure how useful a predictor it is now.

Was more saying how our PPG is highlighting that we are in very good form now and that I feel it does bode well for the future.

And comparing it to last season shows improve already after six games. We had ten points after six games last season, this season we have 14 and we are not showing any signs of the same wobbles early on as we did last season.

I might be proven utterly wrong on this, but am sticking to what I was saying during the summer and that we are going to be a machine to play against this season, especially once we get 10 or so games under our belt and the rest of the league figure out that the more solid style of play of the season before last is back.

Yea for the third goal that's absolutely the case and Wissau is a central midfielder who came on for norgaard if I'm not mistaken.

That's on one of the three there for not tracking back to cover him.

It's easy to be pissed off after a game like Saturday's considering how strong we've been prior to yesterday but one way of looking at it is we're top of the league, undefeated and still scoring for fun with a squad that is deeper than last season.
Brentford just seemed to have the right tactics and personnel to catch us out time and again but I trust Klopp and his team to immediately start working on what went wrong and making adjustments for Porto and City.

Not totally surprising seeing as he was targeted, but Trent was top for tackles won (4 out of 4), interceptions (3), Clearances (8) against Brentford.

I think he has defended quite well this season and find some of the criticism quite baffling.
