Mane isn’t at his best, but is still working hard, and still scoring goals. We are banging in 3 plus goals per game right now, that suggests the attack is functioning very well, that’s down to all of them.
Jota played well, i was talking about his finishing. Last season before he got that injury he was deadly, but he's been very patchy since then. Really snatches at chances like Mane does.

Their wee legs are tired from all the chances we create. We don't want them to play like Lukaku, 10 touches per game. As long as the team are scoring in general, it's not that big an issue.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Grujic. I was watching the game with Norwegian commentary. Did he actually touch the ball after he came on as sub. I dont recall it happening or hearing his name being mentioned. I guess it puts his talent level in perspective and why we offloaded him

He kept it neat and tidy. Not really a game to come on and shine. No opportunity to release a rocket like he can. Will probably be injured soon anyway.

Thanks I was watching on my iphone so it was difficult to see as most of the game the cameramen had a preference for zooming out to make the players look like ants

                Edit - Ok, a 4 point cushion.
Technically it is a 5 point cushion for second place with Porto and Milan so far back.

We just need to win one of our next three tough matches (Atletico x 2 and Milan) to practically be through. Similarly, drawing all three would be great too, suffocating the other teams' points.

This is before thinking about our last game with Porto.

Yeah, but we’d still have a 5 point gap on 3rd either way.

had this conversation with a fellow red today that said Jota was crap. His finishing maybe needs to improve but his movement and the runs he makes are incredible. Regardless of how bad he plays in a game, he will always get a chance or be in a position to score. That is what he brings to the team, also some unpredictability.

That's what I love about Mane, how unpredictable he can be but yeah he has been off his best no doubts. So we have Mo who is flying, Jota who is playing well but needs to be more clinical, Mane who isn't playing well, needs to be more clinical but still is scoring scores & Firmino who isn't playing well and needs to be more clinical but has 3 goals in 5 games.

We are creating so many chances in games it's crazy. We are averaging about 3 goals per game and we are still missing a **** load of those chances... we will be a scary prospect when the other lads start finding the back of the net.

Whats worrying though is how awful Mane is playing. He's looking worse and worse each game, his touch has completely deserted him and it was never great to begin with. Needs a spell to reset himself or something.

Jota's not much better either. Both of them really snatching at chances. They need to relax a bit.

As for Sadio, awful is probably harsh. Not his best, but did enough to play his part.

So many different opinions regarding Mane personally I think he's improving game on game wasn't great last night but compared to the first few games of the season when he really was poor there has been a gradual return to form over the last 2 or 3 games.

Jota is very good but a long way from the finished article but no matter how wasteful he nearly always seems to find a goal. Probably not ready to be a regular starter just yet but in time yes.

Based on what we are all saying if they all start playing really well we are going to be putting about 6 or 7 goals on teams every week

                        Can’t wait
                        Modifying post.

There have been multiple games where we really should have stuffed sides by 6 or 7 if Mane, Jota et al had been more clinical. Good signs that we're playing well in other areas of the pitch and creating so much, but a wee bit concerning that these yips in front of goal could get worse.
