I'd go for Bobby as well, nice to have Jota as a sub, but tbh, he's really blown hot and cold the past weeks, when he's off, he's like really off!Originally posted by Rigadon View PostBig call between Firmino (Klopp favourite and just back from injury) and Jota (probably better form than Firmino over the last 12 months and part of a front three that's doing ok

Think Klopp will go with Firmino. I'd go with Jota.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Think it is an easy enough team selection for Klopp for a change.
More or less the same starting line up as against Porto with the only decisions to be made being Jota or Bobby up front (would start Jota myself and have the front three stretch City and shoot on sight as much as possible during the first 60 mins) and whether or not TAA is fit enough to start (unlikely) if not then Milner gets the nod.
Jones I would defo start. Do like how he brings more of an instinct to shoot from range than some of our other players when he gets a good chance which makes us that bit more unpredicatable when we start to build an attack in the final thirdLast edited by Doc_Piptorious; 01-10-21, 01:39 PM.I don't hate people. I can't see him doing it again but you never know.
It also took two out of character errors from Allison for them to totally wrest control of the game.
We went punch for punch in that game and lost 1-4 to them.
Then again we went punch for punch with them at Anfield the season before that and ran out 3-1 winners.
Generally we do well against City at Anfield when we turn it into a straight up gun fight rather than trying to be overly tactical. Let Pep be the one that over thinks it, something that often sees him cock up against big teams or in big games, and have us just play to our strengths and let them adapt to us rather than the other way around.
We are good enough to stand and fight head on against City, especially with a close to full strength team available to us.
We are also good enough mentally to deal with an equally talented team going punch for punch with us, but I would question whether or not they always deal well with that.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Nope that was the anfield game- we drew 1-1 at their place when we played the 4 up top.. we were well on top the first half hour or so, looked in total control…Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostIt also took two out of character errors from Allison for them to totally wrest control of the game.

Even though we coulda lost the game if de bruyne scored his penalty…I don't tip

It wasn’t the 1-4 at Anfield were we played all 4 of Mane, Salah, Bobby and Jota. It was the 1-1 at their place.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostIt also took two out of character errors from Allison for them to totally wrest control of the game.

I am mixing up the games then
I still say let's go at them though

I agree we should go at them, but I think with 3 up top. I’d start Bobby up front, I think he gives us more all round control than Jota.. I also think Jota can be a great option from the bench if we need a goal.
I don't tip

Oh I meant three up top in my earlier post. I was just favouring Jota starting over Bobby, and Jones to add a body from deep to the attack when we are pushing them back.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
