If Matip was fit he’d be playing, good that Klopp has faith in Konate as Gomez is an excellent CB, more surprised with Milner over Jones but Milner is so dependable and is in a run of form, maybe too soon for Jones after injury but I’m sure he’ll have a part to play today. Jota for Mane…no great issue there both worthy of starting Firmino is playing well and super Salah is just magnificentComment

Jota in for Mane is fine as Sadio doesn't tend to play very well at OT.
Fabinho out though is a big loss ffs. Unbelievable! We don't have another player like him in midfield and Hendo hasn't been at it consistently this season yet. Maybe today he'll hit top form, we need him to.
Konate is risky when Gomez could've stepped in. I was at the Palace home game when Konate made his debut and he looked a bit off the pace 1st half especially but grew into the game. FFS Fabinho is a big miss, that midfield is far from ideal. Leaving Matip out and playing Konate who is untested at PL level (ahead of Gomez) is a massive call IMO. Allso surprised at Mane not starting.
Typical of these fixtures that the guys they claimed would be out aren't but we are missing key players to injury. Midfield is workhorse like but not any worse than theirs. Hoping the movement up front will confuse Maguire…. like a three piece jigsaw.
