I think if we spent £200 mil on Bellingham and Rice we'd get it all back in 4-5 years when sold. Obviously risks attached to it but if we were offered them on loan for that length of time just covering wages I don't think they'd be compliants

Rice is 24 in two months or so. You are not getting your money back on him in 4 to 5 years.

For the money West Ham are rumoured to want for him, circa 100m, he would have to be a surefire hit to be worth the money.

Same goes for Bellingham and the 150m that Dortmund are supposed to want for him. For that money he would need to be a massive success.

Dortmund may be claiming they want £130m/€150m for Bellingham, but I think it’ll be closer to £100m.

They were saying £108m for Sancho, he went for £73m.

Though for the Jude money (and maybe a bit more top), I’d much rather have 2 from the likes of Caicedo, Kone, Youssouf Fofana, Enzo Fernandez. Rounded off with someone like Laimer on a free.

Atalanta were the ones who took a punt on him, seems he is doing well this season but one of the lads I work with is from Bergamo and is a massive Atalanta fan, he said he isn’t that great.

We need to bring it back to basics, use full backs and attackers with the midfield to enable it. That means we need strong fit lads with some tactical cop on

                    Means nothing without context.

Number of tackles is important by comparison, also number of presses forcing an error

I'd say its 100% their policy to TRY and operate that way and tbh rightly so. Its a brilliant way to run a club. However you can't afford many misses in that model so needs an edwards and a Klopp. And it also takes a big hit when something like covid comes along and stops you realising on those assets when they're at maximum value.

Elliotts number are skewed by the fact he is tracking back & in the main only in a position to jocky the player rather than tackle

Would both Tyler Morton and Jude Bellingham count as homegrown?

Looking at this, Bellingham's home grown status runs our next Summer so not sure he would count towards that which raises issues.
