Was that Boxing day by any chance?

No it was right near the start of the season if I remember rightly - possibly even our first home game.

Bobby has at times been brilliant for us, but mostly under Klopp but has had some very serious dips in form too.

Morientes was excellent for a longer span of his career but a lot of us would probably remember his time with us and after that.

Litmanen was possibly the most technically gifted of the three but injuries ruined his career, but at the same time during his first spell with Ajax he excelled domestically and at Champions league level and won the Champions league with Ajax, no mean feat even with the players they had then.

Might actually lean towards Morientes of the three based on what he did in the game and for how long he maintained a high level, but Bobby has time to put in another season or two of performances to change that opinion.
Morientes was absolute class. Him, Raul, Hierro, Helguera and Guti. Glory days of Madrid

Xabi or Thiago is tough. Both a class above most others clearly, but Xabi edges it for me.

They are both awesome. It's like asking what do you prefer, a tit wank or a blowjob. There is no wrong answer

I’m pretty sure that’s the first time I took my lad to see us play as we were over to see family. For some reason I thought it was around xmas.

Might just be me, but I don't think they're that similar a type of player. Xabi for me is more like deBruyne... dictating the pace of the game and spreading balls around the pitch like Stevie used to do. Thiago is more about the short-game, quick sharp passes in and around crowded areas and where no-one else can see a pass or make a pass... He's more like a Scholes without the aggro tackling and scoring prowess (so far, although he's bagged a couple recently)

Both have incredible vision and game brain. Probably the cleverest players on the pitch for us in recent years...
