LFC v AC Milan (away) CL

    Tuesday night 8pm

Hands up who predicted that AC Milan in the San Siro, last round of the group stages of the CL would be a game we all gave zero ****s about?

I get the feeling it’s a punishable offence to put the stiffs out in a game that is a must win for AC - so expect we will go hybrid.

I reckon Vurge needs a rest.

    AB

    Trent
    Konate
    Matip
    TGL

    Milner
    Morton
    Ox

    Salah
    Minamino

That’s a good team. What’ the story with Gomez? Is he available?
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

I think he is close to a return but has been injured. If he’s got If play him instead of Joel.

rest everyone. Crazy spell of games we're just starting.

Similar team to Buzzo but i'd have Neco in for Trent and if fit stick Naby in for Mo and go 4 -4-2

Oh and start Kev (if fit) in place of Alisson

Hopefully he is fit and available for us to sell him in January and good look to any team who takes a chance on him.

I think we will see a nice mix. Taki, Milly, Derek, Neco and Timmy will definitely start. All capable of doing a job.

'd pretty much go with that too - although if possible I would also rest Mo. Imagine if he got injured in this dead rubber.

The Villa game on Saturday will be hard. Maybe Keita in midfield and Oxlade in attack instead???

Although I suspect Mane, Salah and Jota will all get some minutes

Sell Gomez - he was superb in the title winning season, he got a shocking injury and needs the time to recover. He still has his best years ahead of him - Matip and VVD are in their prime now but Gomez is the future

no need to use those players...

No need to but I think we will use Becker and Salah. We will treat Milan with respect, and put out a team capable of winning. I expect to see Mane at some point as well, but maybe not Jota.

Is Bobby back in training yet? If so, him and Naby will probably get a sub appearance too, to help with match sharpness.

Some of the senior players may want to play this as never had the chance to play at the San Siro, Klopp has never played a match at San Siro either & he's been managing for nearly 20 plus years.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

He was and I get what you are saying but Gomez cannot be the future if he is consistently injured and not available to play and unfortunately these are not just mild tweeks here or there. The kid has had some really severe injuries, poor ****er has gone through the mill. Two ankle surgeries, cruciate ligament injury, Achilles tendon injury and a really bad knee injury which yet again he had surgery on. He's only 24 ffs, it's insane. It's his 4th long term lay off since joining us and now he has been out with a calf injury.

VVD and Matip (If he can stay fit) have at least 4 or 5 years left and Konate was bought for the future. If everyone is fully fit (I know) VVD & Matip are the number one pairing. Gomez main asset is his pace which is amazing to have as a CB, he is not a tall CB and is not great in the air, nor is he a good ball playing CB & his positional sense isn't great either.

I really do feel for the lad but if.... and that's a big if he can get fully fit and firing, do we really think that he will be happy be a squad player? Konate will for the time being as he is new and we all know Klopp mostly beds defenders in slowly. He will eventually get pissed off too as these kids want to play. Unfortunately for Konate and Gomez, MAtip has been outstanding and is an outstanding CB when he plays.
