Not our best performance, but I feel like December is all about grinding out results any way possible. It’s a time when there can be some surprising results due to the fixture pile ups- just look at Chelsea tonight, for example!

Absolute joke that now its ok to expect the game to be stopped if 2 defenders to bump into each other. Imagine how much that tactic would get used during every corner.

Jermaine Jenas and Joe Cole repeatedly insisted that was a ‘clash of heads’.

Ridiculous, replay was clear during the match as well. Ref got rhat right and Howe is clutching at straws if he thinks he is winning the game if that goal is chalked.

I think it’s safe to infer that Howe has worked on the fake head injury move in training and is embarrassed that it didn’t work in practise.

Everyone in football needs to take head injuries seriously. For me the issue here is the time between the incident and the goal, we are talking about a few seconds, the guy has gone down but there wasn't really time for the official to see that he had stayed down (or in fact that it was a head injury), if he had stayed down holding his head for 10 or 15 seconds I suspect the ref would have stopped play.

That incident to me felt a bit like the de Gea one a few weeks ago. I don't know if he was hurt at all or if he was faking or just exaggerating or what. I thought that Howe's comments are problematic, because if he really was dazed 5mins later then he was probably concussed so should have been taken off. If he wasn't he was trying to exploit the rules for which will pose 'cry wolf' problems for other players in future.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The proof is in the fact De Gea got up and on with it shortly afterwards.

Pretty sure it was his own player who hit De gea as well. How often have we seen two teamates go for the same ball and smash into each other in the midfield, losing the ball to the opposition. Commentators are always, well there was a lack of communication right there. Why is that ok but this ones considered a foul? Slow motion even shows it was a third teamate who brushed his neck with the back of his hand.

It's pretty clear Hayden's head hits their player.
                          Are we winning?

No heads clashed, and these ****houses will all be "crying wolf" to try and prevent any goals from follow up play
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I see there are no heads clashed, but it's a head injury nonetheless, or at least is a potential issue if he's hazed from the hit. In these circumstances, the ref should not leave anything under any doubt whatsoever and should stop the play.

Not too sure why this is rambling on and we're trying to argue.

De Gea didn't realise that Fred trod on his foot.....thought it was an Arsenal player and that any goal would have been VAR-d off
