Hmmm. I can see you’re thinking – he’s a good enough ball player to play there, perhaps, but I wouldn’t myself. I’d rather go Agger/Hyypia at the back and let Carra cover in defensive mid.
Have we any news on the extent of Xabi’s injury?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
It would be nice to see Paletta and Peltier on the bench. I believe Paletta has played CM before and if we need to close the game down it would be a good way to introduce him to the PL.
I think moving Carra or Agger out of defence would be madness. They need to build up a relationship as a partnership at the back. I'm sure they could both do an okay holding job in midfield but it is a waste IMO. Holding midfield is a very specialist position IMO and I wouldn't like to see a defender moved their for any number of games.

dont agree with moving agger or carra as they defence is slowly starting to look back to its old reliable self, so i wouldn't want to start messing with it now. think bellamy can do a job for a couple of games.
Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.
Considering our home record Is a home game the time to give one of the youngsters a run out...even from the bench? the likes of Hobbs, Idrizaj, Mannix or Flynn????
We may have to have some on the bench the number of injuries we picked up against PSV. Personally though I think unless Rafa has confidence that they are ready for the first team I see no point in playing them. The players who have had a bit of a run out in the League Cup must be in with a shout but I would be surprised to see any of the others called up.
