Thanks, I'm aware of the logistics and how unlikely it isOriginally posted by poorscousertommy View PostIt is a banging ticket but someone would have to give up going the game so the other person could sit in a better seat.
Bear in my mind there is not many **** seats at Wembley apparently.
My Dad has got a ticket but we forgot to link the season tickets when going into the ballot so are sat miles away from each other!
Plus I forgot to log in as was working so was 33,196 in the queue when I joined so am sat in the Gods with a £40 ticket. £40 for the cup final though!
Glad you've got one

That doesn’t come in to it though.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostSecond one he had already had the shot. You could argue it prevented him from attempting to get the rebound but I can understand why it might not have been given. The first is grotesque incompetence and or monstrous corruption.
You wouldn’t not get a direct free kick because the player had played the ball just before he was hacked down..

Can't believe the pen didn't even get a mention on MotD. The Palace penalty we got was never off the news and the ref got demoted for giving it to us. This one goes against us and barely gets a mention, despite it being as blatant a pen as you'll ever see.Originally posted by Irishnev View Post
Feels a bit like the VAR checks from last year. Whenever we scored, VAR was checked for about 5 mins, replays from every angle, dodgy lines drawn. Whenever it was against us, VAR checks over in seconds.
Where is Chris when you need him ffs.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The referee was Stuart Attwell although to be fair he waved play on.
VAR: Kevin Friend. Assistant VAR: Simon BeckWas muß, das muß.

Contact is not enough now though; there is something now isn't there about whether the contact really had the effect on the offensive player that that player claims. Mo was kicked, but did it really cause him to fall or did it really disrupt what he was trying to do ... because that I think is what the referee and VAR needs to ask. I think!Originally posted by RedReet View PostCan't believe the pen didn't even get a mention on MotD. The Palace penalty we got was never off the news and the ref got demoted for giving it to us. I have to say the rules seem to get more complicated by the day. For eg, I didn't know a t-shirt rule was now applied to handballs (this relates to the West Ham equaliser at the weekend). The Villa goal was chalked off for offside because, although the ball hit a defender last, he did not deliberately play it. Yet I still think it made that, if a ball is played towards an attacker standing in an offside position, it is not offside if a defender tries to intercept the ball and manages to touch it. (So, late flagging and playing to the whistle can turn on offide into an offside. Crazy!)

It was a sliding out of control scissor tackle that completely missed the ball!Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostSecond one he had already had the shot. Could have been a red card for dangerous play.
Are we saying defenders now get a free hit provided the ball has been played? What an absolute **** show the rules are becoming.Last edited by rudedog; 15-02-22, 01:19 PM.

Scoring goals is too easy as it is. Stopping defenders attempting last ditch tackles in case there’s contact on the follow through is not desirable imo, we should be moving towards fewer incidents being penalties, not more. If it was a genuine attempt to play the ball, and doesn’t fall under the two footed dangerous category, then it’s just a ‘racing incident’ imo.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years
