    I vote yes.
I think we're clutching at straws hoping one or all of Norwich, Everton and United get something against them

Well I left out Palace away and they've already beaten them this year and a match a Turf Moor too with Burnley fighting for their lives.

I'll be surprised if we're not clear of City before we meet them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah, so that’s the bit that you’re supposed to be predicting as part of this exercise

I think it's possible but not probable.

For sure. If we win our game in hand it’s back tom6 points & then if we can beat them it’s only 3 points. I think the reality is we can’t afford to drop any more points, beat them & it’s on.

If city drop points next then they might wobble. You never know. If that was to happen then they could be starting to look below them.

Also, they are obsessed with winning the champions league so that might take a bit of their focus too.

We have to be perfect though. Which we have been before but still a huge ask.

The carabou cup final might actually screw us a bit......an extra game in hand in the league after that.

I can see us getting them in the champions league quarters of semis as well......would add to the rivalry again

                    .
Tricky away game to Arsenal, maybe not a bad one to postpone. Leaves 6 home games from 7 before facing City which should help us maintain a winning streak.

Clearly we need to go on a run and we need city to make a few slip ups. It's possible. From where things are at the moment you probably need 90 points if not more which means we have to be near perfect. It's not impossible but won't be easy
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Look at the top scorers list and they don't have anyone that they rely on to score the goals. I think that sets them apart from everyone else. They're not better than us, just more balanced

We're doing much better than I thought we would this season. Players returning to form. Fully fit squad. Squad has been strengthened (Diaz and [not a new signing] Elliott - looks a brilliant player... unbelievably good). Best manager in the Prem... world.

If the squad stays fit (especially first team players Ali, VvD, Robbo, TAA, Elliott, Thiago, Salah, Jota, Mane [9 players ]). We really could do it. But we need to win every game... but this team is more than capable.
                          Another MASSIVE game

Manchester City 2 0 Brentford - Switched off after they went 1-0, but needed another pen and a mistake from the keeper to win this and Brentford apparently gave them a decent game.

Southampton 1 1 Manchester City - A well deserved draw for Southampton and again City relying on a set-piece.

Manchester City 1 0 Chelsea - Another tight win for them, decided by a great strike from a world class player.

Arsenal 1 2 Manchester City - Where to start? Another set-piece / penalty to get them going. Two VAR pen decisions going their way leading to a red for Arsenal, then a 94th minute winner.

Brentford 0 1 Manchester City - Didn't see this game, but not much in it stats wise.

On their day, City can wipe the floor with anyone, but Foden, Grealish and Sterling are not reliable goal scorers and arguably City have rode their luck a bit recently. They recorded a few big wins in December but that was as much do with opposing teams being decimated with covid and injuries and they had two fully fit squads to choose from. Those results also came off teh back of a morale boosting 1-0 win against Wolves who were robbed. Again another red card and decisive pen in their favour to secure the points.

If Norwich can keep Mahrez and DeBruyne quiet, they could nick something. Maybe Pep will gamble and rest one of them for CL.

Agee that it will be interesting to see how they would react if they drop points next, all of a sudden the pressure would be on- with the title race supposedly finished 2 weeks ago.. also agree and hope that the champions league might distract them, and cause a slip up..

Don’t think the extra game in hand will be an issue at that point.. after we play them, if there’s 3 points in it(assuming we win any games in hand), then I don’t think games in hand will matter, will just be a case of who blinks first, sake as 2019.
                              I don't tip

Agree with the games you listed.. and also the wolves game, Jimenez got 2 stupid yellows in one incident- first wasn’t a foul, and the second was stupid for stopping the free kick or something.

Then wolves missed a sitter to equalize in injury time…

The arsenal game was the worst though, arsenal were allover them, city only had 2 shots on target and won 2-1, very annoying..
